When the Lexus LS400 and Infiniti Q45 arrived in 1990 it's seems like they were aimed at two different types of luxury car buyers. Their brand seems to be the value brand, price shoppers who want BMW performance but don’t want to pay the price. The Nissans provided a more comfortable, flatter ride than the Lexus, which had an even softer ride. However, there was more vertical motion in the Lexus. After several years, the Lexus proved to be better built cars. They showed negligible signs of wear, whereas passengers in the Nissans began to sense a growing looseness in the suspension. Besides, the Nissans were having to be sent the shop for repairs of the sort that weren't required in the Lexus.

@@Xx1SailorScoutxX I bought mine last Sep '21. And just now in March '22 will be ready, since all the engine had to be rebuilt, it came damaged, I'll make a video shortly, hopefully!

I have a 94 q45 base people love it. I actually drive it more than my CLA AMG because it's Soooo comfortable 🌞

Very handsome and majestic vehicle for it's time. Costed about 100k in todays money. If you owned one of these back then, you were seen as royalty and fancy. The redesigned grill makes the vehicle look so elegant and classy. Sadly you don't see many first gen Q45s on the road today. The Q45 was very forgotten compared to the other luxury cars of this era such as the Acura Legend, BMW 7, Lincoln Continental, Cadillac Seville, Mercedes S-Class, Lexus LS400. It didn't capture as much attention as those luxury cars did. Very underrated sedan

The original look was better. My grandfather had a 91 Q45 for many years. It was velvety smooth and powerful.

Why is that shocking? Inflation is jumping now. An equivalent S420 was extremely expensive and S500 out of this pricy. 740i was nearly $60k and LS 400 was about the same price in base form. Not to mention how expensive the XJ6 would be. This class of cars has never been cheap.
