Thank you for the idea with the ratchet tie down strap, that saved my butt! Awesome trick!!! I broke two of the smaller 1" cheap tie down straps like you had in your video, then I put a big heavy 2" wide one and that did the trick. Now my ebrake works like new. Before replacing the cables, they were rusted/sticky/jammed and it would stay partially engaged and tear the drums apart.

Que me dirías que está mal cuando conecto los dos cables traseros al cable intermedio y piso el pedal el cable intermedio se sale en la unión al cable del pedal
@NaturesCadenceFarm
2 жыл бұрын
Apologize for any mistakes in punctuation, I used a translator. ~Mr. C.

My cable is loose and it doesn’t come back on it’s own. It works but it needs more tension, how do I fix that
@NaturesCadenceFarm
2 жыл бұрын
Manuel Salgado on the end of each cable after the equalizer bar there is a spring that goes into each drum housing. That spring is supposed to tension all of the cables after the parking brake has been released. Might want to check those out. I hope this helps, if not let me know. If any other viewers have input I would love to hear from you. Thanks for watching and commenting. ~Mr. C.

I change my intermediate cable but when I push the brake the cable is out
@NaturesCadenceFarm
2 жыл бұрын
Morris Muller I would say the coupling that connects the pedal and intermediate cable (10:02 in the video) is too big allowing the crimped end of the parking brake cable to slip out. Try closing the coupling a little. I hope this is helpful. If you need more help don't hesitate to ask. ~Mr. C.

Adrian Aguilar YES! I have worked on a couple of these body styles. One came from Michigan and it was a bear. I soaked the threads with PB Blaster for a few days before I worked on it. As I was removing the nuts I would back them out and then run them back in to help lower the amount of crud getting into the threads. While I was doing this I would flush the threads with PB Blaster as I progressed. ~Mr. C.

Folks beware of the Wear Ever crap from Advanced Auto Parts. In the rust belt states that shit does not hold up period. It corrodes really bad after a winter and it does not have to be a hard winter either the stuff is literally junk. Beware of the Dorman knock off clones as well especially the stuff that comes with those cute little tags that says Genuine Dorman part on it...
