I found this car on market place. It's a V6 EX model with 190k miles. Interior looks like new. Outside paint is fading and clear coat coming off. The AC and hear work. Just got tune up and timing belt. They want 1900 for it. I might buy it if they'll take 1500 for it.

This was back when cars with moderately large engines such as 1.8 or 2.0 litres can only produce moderate amounts of horsepower to avoid damage due to use of low-quality petrol at that time. This is why old engines can survive longer than newer ones.
@florinivan693

petrol was fine back then, the limiting factor was the older technology in the manufacturing method of the engine. and the materials used.

Absolutely no difference between 1990s gas and today’s gas.
@izzatfauzimustafa6535
5 ай бұрын
@@laurentcambon In the context of most European countries, Japan, South Korea, Canada & United States, yes the gasoline quality in the 90s was already great over there regardless of octane rating. However other countries were still having gasoline with really inconsistent levels of additives, octane boosters and sulphur content, especially in the countryside and smaller towns. So, cars sold in some parts of the world have to had their horsepower and compression ratios detuned to ensure they could run on both gasoline bought from gas stations or those makeshift highway stops selling gasoline in used drinking water bottles/beer bottles/liquor bottles (yes, no joke).
