I still love how people think that "riding" a bike is going to get the engine and gearbox hotter than idling it for say 15-25 minutes. It simply is untrue. Oil runs at 90-110°C when at operating temp and I can see that number, feel the heat and hear the difference in the sound of the engine during my monthly heat cycle. Also. 90-110C on the gauge and the change with thermostat and or fan engagement absolutely means it's exceeded the boiling temp of any slightest moisture in the oil so it just removes it without any fuss or bother. A couple of hours after I run mine I then place an Akropovic "silicone" universal bung in the exhaust and see the bike again in another month. I also bounce up and down on the seat and pump the front forks and wheel the bikes back and forth and turn the handlebars and squeeze the front and rear brakes. Cheers!

I love the paint scheme on these. Kinda paying tribute to the smoking joes bikes a few years earlier.

Yea, the smokin joes were either 95 or 96. Some folks call these smokin joes but they’re not. Definitely my favourite colour scheme of the F3

No, the smokin joes was the 1996, it had the camel on it and a metallic purple. This one replaced that and is a different shade of purple. If you Google smokin joes cbr600 you’ll see the difference

Values are very dependent on location. What something is worth in one geographic location is different to another. Best to look at your local buy and sell for comparable bikes. What I paid isn’t always relevant to what things are worth now. Time can appreciate some bikes and depreciate others. It also doesn’t account for what’s been put into a bike etc. so that’s why I don’t articulate what I pay for my bikes or what I put into them.
