completely agree with the comment below. Mine has electric windows in the back. it's an excellent car. quiet, smooth ride and does 60mpg on the motorway. Got mine for £1700 with 80k on the clock. It's a diesel and one of the best cars i've driven especially considering the quality and spec you get for such a low price. It's in the same price category as a citroen saxo.....

Splendid car. I'm still driving my 2 litre v6 which is rust free - quite something for the English climate! It is smooth, quiet and very comfortable. If you can get a low mileage rust free 2 or 2.5 litre model don't hesitate.

How’s the underside? Any advisories? I’ve thought about a nice “S” type Jag but I’ve read some horror stories about rusting sills and other underbody areas.

I enjoy my 1.8 Connoseur for more than 4 years now , and did 80000 km in it . The dark green body is stil imaculate after 21 years and the engine and auto- box are running great . The sandstone lether is also in near perfect condition . OK, it is no sprinter but the way it does 140 km or 90 miles is stil wonderful , no ratles or squeeks or whatever . Classic beauty and reliable , i want to keep it alive as long as possible ! Greetings from a Dutch Rover-nut !

My 2.5 litre Rover 75 performs just as well as the two previous BMWs I’ve owned and as for her comment about it being a long time since Rover produced a reliable car I can honestly say my 1976 P6 3.5 never let me down and the same thing can be said for my Rover 400. The three Rovers I’ve owned have been the best cars I’ve ever had.

Maybe the blocking rear window sistem was active. And this was to much tehnology for some people to understand. She thought that the rear window open button was fake.

@adamw2911

A small minority of the facelift Connys didn't have electric rear windows or leather seats even. To absolutely guarantee this you needed the SE model. I think by then they were using whatever parts were available.

This car was strangled by BMW? Bollox. Rover fitted a far better turbo to the diesel and especially after a RonBox the car was sublime, quick and frugal. My ZT diesel never got below 50mpg and was always quick of the mark.

Only the base Classic model doesn't have rear electric windows. This Connoisseur SE is fully spec'd with the rare Aubergine Personal Line interior only available on the first year 75's. The Rover 75 does handle extremely well, acceleration would have been better if she test drove a manual but this was an automatic.

Towards the end of the facelift models specs were all over the place. You could actually buy a Conny with no leather or rear electric windows!

clearly she was given the presenters job because she somewhat resembles Victoria Beckham but she put it into reverse momentarily to move forward and they do have rear electric windows especially in the Connoisseur that she was driving because i drive a club which is the next model down. So where did they get her from?
@applejuice5272

>she put it into reverse momentarily to move forward The automatic 'box shift pattern (P-R-N-D) requires the driver to go through reverse to select Drive. She could have left it in Neutral though. Agree with you about rear electric windows.

@applejuice5272

Sadly not but, as the 75 is a BMW electrics-wise, the E46's 16:9 screen does fit in the same location as the unit in the film; BMW Bluetooth systems, digital television and audio systems also plug-and-play as well. Visit the 75 & ZT Club for more info: www.the75andztclub.co.uk/forum

You have to remember by this period if a big family saloon couldn't get to 60 in less than 8 seconds it was deemed 'slow'. These days that's down to 7 seconds. When will these airheads realise not everyone is a racing driver or wants a car that resembles a touring car in performance terms.
