Wheat flour - 1 cup
Sugar - ¾ cup
Water - 2tbsp + ½ cup + 1 cup
Rava - 3tbsp
Maida - 3 tbsp
Banana - 1
Coconut flakes - as per taste
Black sesame seeds - as per taste
Cardamom powder- as per taste
Salt - to taste

Hi everyone, today I am here with a very tasty and easy wheat flour snack recipe..
The first step to make this snack is to prepare some caramel by adding ¾ cup of sugar into a saucepan along with 2 tablespoons of water.
Once the sugar starts to melt, keep swirling the pan around, on high heat until the sugar starts to caramelise and turn golden in colour.
Once the sugar turns to a light golden colour, turn off the flame and add half a cup of boiling hot water into it and mix really well and then let it cool down.
After the caramel solution has cooled down, add the caramel into a mixer grinder along with one robusta banana and grind it into a smooth paste.
You can use any banana of your choice, but do not add too much.. if you are using small bananas, you can use up to 2.
Once the banana and caramel has been blended well, transfer it into a large mixing bowl and add a cup of wheat flour, 3 tablespoons of Maida or plain flour and 3 tablespoons of Rava.
Next add some cardamom powder to taste and some black sesame seeds to taste.
Finally, add some salt to taste and a cup of water and give it all a good mix and let the batter rest for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 or three hours.
While the batter is resting, deep fry the coconut flakes in some oil until they turn golden.
Once the batter has rested enough, add the fried coconut flakes and give it all a good mix..
The batter should resemble the consistency of Unniappam batter..
Once the batter is ready, heat some oil in a pan and pour in the batter using a ladle into small circles in the oil..
If you notice your circle is being too flat, it’s because your batter is too thin.. so add a little more wheat flour to adjust consistency. I added an extra 2 tablespoon of wheat flour to my batter to adjust the consistency.
After adding to the oil cook it on both the sides until golden and remove it from the oil to a serving plate..!!
