I feel sympathy for our country, low income people are now suffering to survive yet inflation and recession keep increasing daily, many families can't even enhance the good cost of living anymore. You've helped me a lot Sir Brian! Imagine I invested $50,000 and received $190,500 after 14 days

I have had to look into stuff like assisted living for my folks and in my state minimum is 2900 a month for assisted living and nursing home is 7000 per month not including the thousands a month for medication costs. And that is costs right now. In coming years will be way more. Whoever estimated those costs underestimated on almost all.

It depends. I think a lot of Americans would struggle, but it's because they live relatively wasteful lives and don't even realize it. My Polish immigrant parents have no debt, own their house, shop around for food deals, grow a lot of their own vegetables, very rarely eat out, keep an eye on water usage and electricity (limit water pressure on hose, only have lights on in rooms they are using), return bottles/cans to get their deposit back, etc. I'm sure they can comfortably get by on 30k per year. Their biggest expense is property taxes, but they are actually lower in California compared to other parts of the country (especially Chicago where they first lived). And they don't do this stuff because they are forced to, it's just part of their nature to not waste money having grown-up in communist times. In my experience, many Americans, even from the lower class, aren't even close to being as careful with their money. It's just a different mindset due to different circumstances. I do struggle to empathize with Americans' financial struggles because they don't realize how good they actually have it. There's a reason why so many people from around the world still flock here.

Hey if middle class is close to 120k a year, why is the poverty line at like 15k for individuals and 30k for a family of 4? How about the individuals in between 15k and 120k? We definitely can’t get government assistance. This tells us how fucked up the economy is, one of the reasons being the 1%

Take that 1m and throw it on the market, say S&P500 which returns an average of 8% per year, that means you get $80k back per year. That will really stretch out how long you can last with $1m

Ryan is right. In your 20s you should be: dating, studying/working, playing, traveling etc. instead of working your ass off being frugal and single till you're 38 ready to retire and go, "why is it so hard for me to date young pretty girls and my health isn't great like my 20s."
