Good to see someone still on air during overhaul. It amazes me how many people don’t wear their scba during inside ops after the fire is out. There’s more than just visible smoke to be afraid of.

Good video. Not often we get to see what it is like inside after the fire is done. Most people have no idea what you have to do. A lot more than just putting water on the fire. Good job.

Why are your helmets on in the truck? You do realize that is very dangrous right? What if you slammed on breaks or crashed? You could break your neck no problem, reason being the back if the helmet.

holy crap i thought it was just the garage till they went inside towards the end! Total Loss.... it sucks, been there in the past, feel for that family greatly, most material things are just that but losing the mories type things sucks the worst, keepsakes etc

we lost our garage to a fire in 2010. Lighting hit it around 4 or so in the morning and burned for around two hours before it was noticed. Our FD said five more min and it would have got our house. I lost my show car in it. We also lost all our Christmas decorations. Not to mention some family mementoes from family who have past. It sucks watching ur property burn down. I wouldn’t wish the shit on my worst enemy

How do you keep the hoses from getting entangled? I feel like that could be quite a problem. Do you all have to train for that? Thanks.

Lerigot yes. Hose management and doing trainings helps you place hose lines in the optimal places so as not to hinder other operations.

Usually for embers to make sure there's not a rekindle. It's unlikely in this structure since it looks like most of the stuff is burned already, but its just procedure.
