Joe Kaskie With 3 Hits As Valley Kings Beat The Bats

Joe Kaskie collected three hits in five at bats, as Valley Kings defeated The Bats 14-5 on Sunday. Kaskie doubled in the sixth inning, singled in the ninth inning, and singled in the second inning.
Valley Kings got on the board in the top of the second inning after Rambo singled, Wayne Baker walked, Sean Harris hit into a fielder's choice, and Jonathan Granado walked, each scoring one run.
The Bats captured the lead, 5-4, in the bottom of the third after Chris Chris hit into a fielder's choice, and Valley Kings committed an error, each scoring one run.
An error gave Valley Kings the lead, 6-5, in the top of the fourth. Baker earned the win for Valley Kings. The reliever surrendered nine hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out two and walking two.
Jess Larson stepped on the bump first for Valley Kings. The starting pitcher allowed six hits and three runs over two innings, striking out none and walking one. Valley Kings tallied 11 hits in the game.
Rambo and Kaskie were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in three runs for Valley Kings. Matt Lynas and Harris each collected multiple hits for Valley Kings. Lynas paced Valley Kings with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up 12 walks for the game.
Valley Kings turned two double plays in the game. The Bats accumulated 15 hits in the game. Storm Byrd led The Bats with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. Byrd went 1-for-4 on the day. James and Cody each collected three hits for The Bats. Rob, Hunter, and Jimmy each collected multiple hits for The Bats.
