Jeff, I seem to get altitude sickness if I go hiGHer than LE grade or maybe I'm just cheap. I congratulate Toyota for another very fuel efficient, Hybrid offering but I want you to ask your pal Akio to send us the 2 door Land Cruiser Prado as the new, budget-priced FJ as well . There is a 2 door Wrangler, a 2 door Bronco and very soon there will be a 2 door LR Defender so TMC needs to get back in the 2 door 4X4 game too. As #AmericasFavoriteToyotaSalesman , your opinions ought to have a lot of influence over TMC's future product offerings ;-)

I went to our local Toyota dealership in NC yesterday. They said they had a 2021 Venza in stock when I called at 9. When I got there at about noon, it had already been sold! Demand is high! So I looked at a 2021 Avalon Hybrid. The sales rep turned the engine on. The rattling sound of the engine, well, rattled me up! He said the AC was on full blast and the AC of the seats too, which is why the engine was revved up he said. Hybrids rattle and roar when you push down the gas pedal; some more than others. I'm hoping that the Venza being new from the ground up, is not as noisy. A Lexus 300h I drove last year did the same thing. I'm now so used to my wife's 2018 Tesla Model 3 which takes off like a rocket with zero noise. After that, these hybrids are hard for me to put up with as regards the engine noise. If I do get a hybrid, I'll have to *learn to get my foot off pushing hard on the gas pedal! :)* Hey, so it takes a whole minute longer to get to where you want to go...big deal! :)

I was looking at them a couple years ago when they dropped it, then moved my search to the Highlander, but pulled the trigger on a SR5P 4R. Looks like the LE has all the basics standard plus a few extras like the hands free tailgate, wireless charging and 18" alloy wheels. Wireless charging without wireless CarPlay and wireless Android auto is of limited value since you still need to plug in to use those features. Not sure there is another Toyota you can buy with that combination of options without being forced to get a moonroof that cuts a few inches of front and rear headroom. People who want leather, moonroof, 19" wheels, fancier JBL stereo with bigger screen etc. can get a higher trim. Too bad about the prop rod.

There needs to be a base model for people who don't want headroom-robbing sunroofs and rarely or never opened the sunroofs on cars that came with them. I hate when sunroofs are standard or when you have to get a sunroof as part of a package to get some other important feature you wanted. Not having a standard sunroof was the right choice. You can always buy a higher trim instead if it isn't available as an option on the LE.
@thesultan4030
4 жыл бұрын
@@webcomment8895 oh,of course there has to be a base model, but if I was working for a dealership I would be more inclined to review the highest trim level, as most demo models are top of the line ,and again, that frost feature on the new Venza sunroof is something I have not seen on any other vehicle so far, and deserves mention
@webcomment8895
4 жыл бұрын
David Butler They always review top of the line models. There is never a shortage of car reviews online of fully maxed out highest trim models. Finding a base model review is usually difficult. The LE model probably just happened to be the first ones to arrive on the lot and that’s what he had available to demo. It would have been dumb to delay and wait for a Limited to arrive when this model was available. The frosted glass has already been shown in other videos. It doesn’t need to be shown in every Venza video.

Well thanks but no thanks Toy. Nice features without a doubt but I'm simply not impressed!! You guys missed the mark by a long shot this time. At least I certainly don't want everyone calling my new car a Rav4 because that's exactly what everyone will be calling this, just like the reviewer here already done too btw. Looks nicer inside for sure' so you'll get lucky from time to time and may hear RX but still this vehicle is nothing like the older Venza as far as having style, it's just a Venza by name only. There will never be any written or video reviews of any sort on this newer Venza without Rav4 being included in every review. Rav4 will NEVER will be left out! Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the Rav4 at all. Well' except for cracked dashes Toy should have fixed them all free you know? Sorry folks! But anyway' I want my car to be different and to stand out somewhat at least, not just be the same ride everyone else is driving all around me. One you must press your fob over and over to locate in parking lots? Not me!! After all' cars being different is the sole purpose of applying different name plaques on the vehicles but' it seems people designing them totally forget this and just change some features around, new grille/tail lights if your lucky? Just re-badging has became norm today. Toyota must never ask "Will anyone buy a brand new vehicle that looks just like everyone you knows mother n laws older vehicle?..lmao Surely this was not asked before drawing took place here or they'd changed everything? The original Venza actually stood out from all vehicles so much Toys competitors nor car reviewer at the time even knew what to call it. "Is it a CUV Crossover/SCUV/Wagon/SUV/Sedan/Hatchback, humm? "Where do we even begin at to review it?" That is what they said if memory serves me right? The original Venza fit in all those categories yet it didn't fit in any at the same time because it was such a different design. It was Old/New both so it stood out from everything. This Venza/Raz/RX/ looks like so many other vehicles on the road it will never stand out even painted Banana Yellow with Purple Stripes it will still blend in with everything near it, as nice as it is you can just keep this one!
