Information on station: Station was built by the CH&D, a predecessor to the Baltimore and Ohio. It was built around 1911 I think. Boxcar and siding used to be connected to the CSX line until like 2015. The boxcar is either Seaboard Coast Line or Atlantic Coast Line as far as I can tell.

Yes, it is a beautiful station. It holds a special memory for me. My mom, little brother, and I got on the 'Cincinnatian' in August of 1953. We rode this beautiful streamlined B&O train to Detroit to visit my uncle and aunt. This train was pulled by one of the streamlined 4-6-0 Pacifics...what a beautiful blue engine and consist of streamlined heavy-weight passenger cars. The "Cincinnatian"...

Well... I went to and graduated from Purdue in '74 and I can tell you that Neil Armstrong (Purdue '55) was the 'first' we know about to walk on the Moon. Gonna take a long time, though, to sort out the facts on Lemuria, Vedic India, Atlantis and the US Secret Space Program, with their reverse-ET-engineered craft and list of assigned ONI Naval Officers, started back in the late 50s, early 60s to say for sure. All things considered though, we have to acknowledge your skill and firsts in bringing us the small town of Wapakoneta and Moon City in one train video. You are one helluva an intrepid, clever, adventurous explorer/trend setter. We, the common folk, salute you! Gracias por tu video, Señor Jaws. RT sends... envía... Puebla, México...

Cutting thru town at a diagonal keeps that horn busy. First train a fair number of acid tankers and scrap metal cars. Also a BKTY mini hi-cube rather than regular 50ft boxcars the 2 ICG bulkhead flats with aluminum ingots and some of those FTTX flats we .may have seen comes out of storage on the CCET. Train two due to all the white streaks is most likely in phosphate service. While CSX has overhauled and repainted numerous covered hoppers the Family Lines cars are a dead giveaway of demoted service. Plus on that train the second to last car with original reporting marks is Richmond Fredericksburg & Potomac car which at one time was a very attractive blue and a metal plate with name and a mini map of them system. Excellent sidebar coverage with historical sign plus the passenger cars as well as signal. Mostly intact brick platform by the depot. Wouldn't be surprised if he set foot there first before the moon!

Thanks for another great video. You always seem to find something special. I really enjoy that you show us all of the train and give us a little information about the area. Having seen the video I feel almost as though I've been there with you. It's super that I can see trains in the USA from home here in North Yorkshire UK and you make it so interesting for a retired railwayman. I fired steam locos and went on to work with on track maintenance machinery so seeing the railways elsewhere in the world is one of my retirement hobbies. Also enjoy seeing the animals and the farm thanks for making us welcome in your world. Keep up the good work!

Interesting town with some real charm. I traced the branch spur on Google Maps. It was easy to see that it went down to some place called Lakeview and then on to another town called Bellefontaine. Must be lots of rail history around there. Thanks for the video, J.T.
@kennyedwards6256
2 жыл бұрын
The spur used to be part of the New York Central railroad (hence, the reason those Pullman cars are sitting there), as Mike said, it ran past those through Lakeview to Bellefontaine, AND to the west, where the grain cars was sitting in the first video, that track used cross the street and the CSX tracks and continue westward to St. Mary's, where it would join with the former Norfolk Southern/now R.J. Corman track... There actually is a track crossing left in place in the Auglaize County Fairgrounds (no signals or crossbucks, just the track itself)
@mikedurhan9941
2 жыл бұрын
@@kennyedwards6256 Very interesting. I just now went back on GoogleMap and followed it over to St. Mary. I even saw the track on the fairgrounds. Also, where it used to join what is now R. J. Corman RR. Thanks, Kenny. I'd have never noticed that it went west if you hadn't pointed it out.
