Wow.. impressive work.. I owned a big farm with a giant old silo on it and always wondered how it was built… I would bet money it is still there!!

@@bryanginder5903 So why are most farms using bunkers?
@bryanginder5903

@@raincoast9010 most? No. Just the large ones, 1 using up land does not matter to them. 2 they want speed of loading over quality.

@@bryanginder5903 most, yes, in my area there are small farms and none of them use upright silos. I think it's about how little feed fits in them. 130 cow dairy, uses a bunker, no upright silos in sight in my area.

Great to see another silo built for you, how many together will you have now? Keep up the good work and looking forward to see more about silos from you. Wish you all best from Europe, also filling uprights here, but much smaller.

Wow, those guys work fast!😂 Have you looked at getting cellular phone antenna mounted on the new silo's? May add some revenue for you.

We have thought about that before but we would have to figure out who to talk to about it. We could use it, cellular connection isn't very good around here.

Pretty cool. I've never seen how a poured silo was built, only the 3 stave silos we built. Will there be a feed conveyor running through the concrete trough next to the silo footing?
@ryanheatwole165

Yes except that we are going to try using an auger instead of a conveyor.

I think they only have one concrete silo crew so if yours is concrete then it is probably the same crew. We're going to put in a Valmetal Hybrid unloader.

@@ryanheatwole165 Thanks. 40 years ago I work on a coal silo in Colorado. They set the top beams across the form, built a deck and put a big hydraulic pumphouse on the top to lift the form. We poured for 8 days straight. Once the form lifted off the ground, it didn't stop until we hit the top. Filled the form from a crane and bucket with georgia buggies and the bar guys had to keep up...I was young then!
