Just wanted to make sure, that symmetry cancellation of the rho components *only applies IF rho s is constant at any point* (uniform charge distribution on the surface/area) correct?

here surface is situated on xy plane and directed toward z axis(normal direction) , so differential surface ds along z direction if rho drho dphi ie the magnitude part of ds vector...thanks
