Wow.. I am truly impressed. I have only taken IPPT two times so far. The first time was prior to enlist for NS. That time my 2.4 km run was clocked at 11.01min. Second time was during NS. Apparently my running had improved by 90 seconds as I recorded 9.31min on the clock. sub 9 minutes feels like a faraway dream to me!

Sharing my observation. Van - minimum body movement, energy channel efficiently, good wide pace, steady fast run...................Nic - lots of body movement (energy lost) run. Work on it, yr timing will improve....................Rom - consistent pace, steady run, need to widen pace to increase speed and timing

My observation is the skinner one runs faster than the more heavy weight... maybe also due to less wind resistence

@@RVN_official I think she means widen the stride. I find it quite apparent too. Rom has long legs but she wasn't using them to her advantage unlike Van and Nic.

Hi, Good job on keeping a consistent routine! My general advice, given the minimal info to go off, is if you want to improve you can work on running that same distances faster (not all the time), or increase that distance at a feel good pace. BMI is not necessarily the tell all of fitness because everyone's body composition is different. Good luck! -R

Run longer distances. At least push to 8-10km for normal runs and get a long run up to 13-14km. Take at least 3-4 months to slowly increase your distances. U can't expect to improve your 2.4km timing with just running 2.4km on each run. U need to go much longer to be able to actually build aerobic fitness.

Also, u need to start running 5-6 days a week. Of course, make sure that these changes at emade gradually over a couple months. Also: u need to make sure to run at an easy and relaxed pace. If you can't breathe in for 3 steps and breathe out for the 3 steps after that, you're going too fast. Am 15, managed to get 9:21 on basically just running slow long distances (5:30-6min/km) and at 45-55km a week. To improve even more I'm starting to do 8x400m interval training and 20 min tempo runs as well, but u could go really far with doing big volume of easy running.

Hi try intervalles running to increase VO2max and fondamental endurance running ( second heart rate zone ) = 10k of jogging for (6-7 min pace per km ) ; try coffe before running and drink water , electrolytes and carbs ( 3h to 30 min before )

@@johnconnor8612good job bro. You trained hard and deserve it. In 2020, my PB was 08:08 for 2.4km after i tried running for almost 3 months. I didn't know i could run like that coz i never run & not interested before. After that, i stopped running for a year&6/7 months until november last year, but now i started running again, 3-4times a week. Started from 3km, then 5km, 10km. Yesterday, i just finished my 21km. 🤣 But im struggling to break sub 10:00 for 3km(11:21 pb) and sub 20:00 for 5km(21:47 pb) so far. While 47:49 for 10km, 1hour49minutes for 21km.

There's actually no "secret" to running. Getting better at running isn't based on 'how many times per week'. In fact, it's more about training smart. A dude who think running fast for every run will never progress...
