Wow, impressive Andrew. And great filming Nate! This was so inspiring to watch - and the kindness of the two strangers who hosted, it gave me goosebumps. Loved the part about experiencing the world slower than just driving by. A good future doc who is prioritizing physical health, mental health, & studying loneliness. Hell yeah.

Beautiful. 12 minutes in this video, the wonderful kindness of strangers is beyond what I expect from a cycling video. You bring people together. Keep going, brother, no matter what.

Very interesting. As a child I spent a good bit of time on my 3 uncle's farm in a more rural setting than the suburbs I grew up in and felt much more connected to literally everyone I encountered "in the sticks." I miss those days.

Nate, you captured bike touring and Andrew’s journey so beautifully. As a bike tourist and aspiring documentarian myself, this made my heart so full. And Andrew, you embody exactly what a bike tourist should be: present, resilient, kind, and most of all, open minded and hearted. Thank you for being a mentor to Alasdair and me last summer and I hope someday we meet in person! This made me just a bit foggy-eyed. Much love.

Awesome!!! Your explanation starting around 10:40 is perfect and really nails at least why I love long distance bikepacking. A great video start to finish, but that portion is spot on...well done and thanks for putting this together!!!

What a great film! I just subscribed and look forward to your future work. Totally agree about the part when you talked about how you can experience a place deeper on a bike - as someone originally from a rural town in the US I related to a lot of this. Really interesting to look at the relationship with cycling and loneliness vs. aloneness. Thanks for sharing!

Loved the video! Interesting observations about loneliness vs age in small towns. I’m curious how the hustle and bustle of cities provides different connection at different age brackets. The strangers inviting you into their home for 4 days was poetic.
