As far as a next adventure, it would be really cool to see either the town where Mothman was filmed or the old coal mining town where October Sky was filmed. 🚲
Just found your channel noticed you rode past my grandfather's property stayed there a lot when I was a kid I can remember the train going past I have a lot of fond memories in that area thanks for the flash back!!!-

Where is this area so remember when he was traveling through and he saw that log cabin? What was that place where the railyard was? It looks like our warehouse or a sawmill or something mean what’s the name of that town in West Virginia?

Is your family still own that your grandfathers please and do you still live in the area or did you move to another part of the country? Curious where I like knowing how people move around the country I think it’s pretty cool.

What trailer do you have? - looks like a really nice place to ride and camp. My wife and I also hammock camp a stack, we find it 100 x more comfortable than the ground. We are starting to get our gear together for bike camping on our Rad e bikes - I think we need a trailer tho’.

Hello a trailer is a good idea I think, I use a burley Nomad it`s not real wide but that`s what I wanted so it don`t stick out in the road....And I pull a fishing cart some times witch is skinny to.I put 24inch tire`s on it ......They both work well,You all have a great time...I do ride a 2018 rad rover but every thing on it has been changed MOTOR, CONTROLLER etc ,And I run a 52 volt 20 amp..Battery I carry the 48 volt for a spare....Every thing work`s great...... ........Old.Chris NC...........

REMOTE CHARGING SYSTEM:-> I have a 220 watt Off Grid TREK solar blanket and an adjustable voltage controller and hookup cables (also from Off Grid TREK) that fits in a pannier. This system can charge my bike's TWO batteries from 60% to 90% in 3 hours in Nevada in October thru May (the rest of the year is TOO HOT to bike). Yeah, this system is expensive but gives you a great way to charge your e-MTB "inn the wild" away from AC current. Off Grid TREK also sells a 300 watt solar blanket that I highly recommend. ** If you combine an OTG solar blanket AND a BLUETTI or ECO-FLOW Lithium Iron Phosphorus power center battery you can run your home refrigerator in a power outage with the free energy from the solar blanket.

So, do you carry the bike in your vehicle, then bike the trail? Never seen a trailer on a bicycle, very interesting. Maybe, in the trailer you can carry some great kit, like hot meals, fire making kit, a camp knife & saw, heh, heh…? The trail’s nice, bike repair shed, powered pick-nick pavilion, wide enough, town with restaurants, man-o-man. Thank you for sharing…from east Tennessee. P.S. 2-3 extra bike batteries advisable, for a 60-70 mile trip, in cold weather? The bike seems quiet, maybe a hum? How was it peddling a heavy bike, plus a trailer, plus pushing the dead bike electric motors? Did you have a bearing problem…on a new bike? Oh, the dew rag and beard, heh, heh…. Thanks for the nice music. Glad you got a fire going…whew.

Very nice film, editing and presentations was done very well. 32:38 there are many more cast iron bridges in the united states, the first one build was the Dunlap’s Creek Bridge this was the first metal arch bridge in the United States, built 1836-39. This 80-foot span was built of cast iron by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It still stands today, including many other examples. Respectfully, Sven.

Hey Barry!! I absolutely loved watching this episode and can't wait to see how day 2 goes for you. I am equipping myself for some EBike camping adventures myself and am quite interested in your learning experience. I have made myself a 2 battery setup with about 40 Ah total and also have a couple 4 amp chargers which should help when stopping along the way like you did to grab a charge at restaurants or wherever. I would love to come down and run the Greenbrier. My friend Pete from River Kings has paddle camped that river a couple times and it was beautiful but you get to see so many different things running the rail trail. I also loved the campsites and facilities along the way! Nice to see you are a Warbonnet sleeper too!! LOVED the drone work, the Dragon and the Jet fighters! Jeff

One unnoticed thing was that that was the view from the train tracks that used to be there. A lonely track in those hills--any year. Notice it follows the stream all the way for least fuel consumption. No stops. It won't stop here. A side benefit is that it made the hillbillies an' they child'ren happy ta see it roll by with black smoke and black iron. 'Course'n they had nowheres ta go anyways even if it ever had slowed down so's a young man could grab a ride. Wasn't happen'n. I don't see the video from a bike's perspective. I see it from the railroad engineer's view point one-hundred-and-seventy years ago. Best video and cameratography I've seen this year, including Hollywood vids. Only thing you could have added was a running and riding in back shepherd dog. I never understood why ppl build fires out there. I guess it's a tv substitute. If you're close enough to get warm in your sleeping bag, I'd sell your video of you running around on fire--post mortum. Leave it ta yur kin.

That’s a great question as I was riding I kept checking the motor if it was getting hot now this trail is very flat as I’ve never tested it on a very Hilly trail but it does hurt the battery as in it loses charge faster but I did this trip and it was 80 miles with one battery and a little 500 W charger. 21:52: What was that in the tunnel ?!? Ideal bike trail, worth referencing for a future trip... My thought would be to rig a flexible (very light weight) solar panel on the lid of the trailer/ to be a lid on the trailer - 100 to 200 watts, whatever fits decently - to be charging the Go-Sun inside passively. This could either be flow through charging a second bike battery while pedaling that can be swapped out, or even subsidizing the working bike battery while in use if the bike can handle that. As I now see you did at 45:10. Would extend range considerably.. (Yes this trip is cloudy but not always the case.).

750W , peak 1100+W is the best size motor enough small for efficiency at easy drive and enough power to pull you uphill. and with cadence sensor excellent efficiency. 1100W peak power pulls 22A current, 750W 15A much better than mid drive 1000W peak 30A ( have lossess in chain). Current over 10A start reducing range and efficiency drop voltage inside baterry. With trailer probably you need another 500-750W motor at the front so you can go with one motor on the flat and two uphill without pulling big current from batteries in parallel. Defender S it is good option must have 2 batteries maybe even add the third one. They recommend charging with 2A not 20+A must be good reason for that but they give you only one battery to make bike at much lower price, The most ebikes need the second parallel batery to be really efficient and long lasting. Two bafang motors 750 or 500W are the good option plus 2 or 3 batteries if plan to use trailer. You can swap batteries to go far that do not avoid overstres and deep discharge of the bateries, and losses caused by excessive voltage drop and heat caused by current on square. Two batteries means long life for batteries and easier ride.

The squeeking is from your left brake. Pump it hard once, and it'll stop for a while. Don't use that side, and use the right very sparingly. The only complaint about these bikes are that the brakes wear out--operator error.

Your trailer is big enough to hold a solar panel, you could mount one of those flexible ones, it will charge up your power bank while you ride. some people use an old ebike hub motor as the motor in a wind turbine, wouldnt it be great if when you get to camp you can turn your bike upside down and assemble your turbine blades then charge your battery overnight.
