Thanks for watching. This 2 day trek was my highest mountain peak and I had to make it. My guide (Irineo Aruquipa) was probably the best guide I ever had. Although he was fast, he always pushed you and was very strategic during the axe climbing and interchanging of ropes. I felt safe in his hands as a leader. I would highly recommend him if you are an experienced hiker.
The first part of the climb was actually quite tiring as you had to wear the snow boots and they were not comfortable. It does help you get used to it and prepares you for the second day. It took me 3 hours to get to High Camp. Just after midnight (New Years) we started to make our way to the peak and it took just over 6 hours to make it to the peak and oh man it was worth it and a definite MUST do when travelling in Bolivia.
The cost is 750BOL/USD$110 however there is definitely room for bargaining. The price includes everything except your snacks, water and walking stick. I also recommend you get/rent a walking stick as it helped me a lot.
