Hello beautiful Alisa 🙋🏼♀️😊. I love this sweater pattern, especially that it’s Gru. He’s my fav too lol. You are providing such a valuable tool to your viewers. The ability to create your own custom one of a kind patterns. I am currently making a wool bucket hat and then beeswax food wraps for some Christmas gifts. I like to do my gift making right around this time. Hope you and the family are well. It always makes my day to see a video from you. Have a great week. 🥰❤️

Debbie!!!! SUPER proud of you - so awesome to hear of your success and that you did not give up! Let me ask you - what were the points that did not turn out at first, and what do you like the most about your finished sweater? (oh, and now use this pattern to make 1 or 2 more, since you're happy with the fit, that way you will get the best value out of it, or make it as a gift!).

I'm in the middle of this make and am realizing that it's not very friendly to large busts or hips. If I bring the shoulder straight down to the hem it's way to tight on the hips. It's also stretched pretty tight across the bust. I plan to alter the pattern but it might be worth adding those measurements to the instructions. Thanks for giving me the confidence to try drafting my own pattern!

I love this oversized style. I have sewn over 60 years so I dont need exact patterns. I mostly remake thrift clothing often using several items to make one. I like how you show how to draft the patterns too. I buy old patterns in basic designs to have sizing details. Knowing how to measure from my body helps too.

What is the difference between a serger and cover stitch machine
@judyhansen6237

The cover stitch is done on a serger. However not all sergers can create this specific stitch. Hopefully I answered your question gladtidings4all.

I wouldn't be without my serger I've got the Bernina 80dl a janome sewing machine and a supermarket brand j.m.b that was given to me by my sister so I now get her repairs in return there all permanently set up in my sewing room (would if needed be a second bedroom ) I just cover which ever is not being used I made covers for all of them in a fox print curtain material several years ago with a matching cover for my sewing machine table plus side tables I use which one side is to do items and the others side table is almost finished items awaiting there next stage and soon I'll have a matching pair of curtains I've already covered a swivel office chair in the same fabric the chair was brought from a charity shop and I wheeled it to the bus stop and put it on the bus for its short journey home did I get some laughs from other passengers my reply was well just in case all the seats were full I'd still be able to sit it was fun trying to get it upstairs to my flat no lift three steps up rest and so on till I'd covered sixteen steps ha ha

This is really lovely. I am genuinely not a fan of turtle necks or cowls. Which this looks like more of a cowl to me 🤷🏾♀️ but I think it came out smashingly well! The only thing I might modify is making splits on either side and maybe a bit longer to maybe wear it with leggings or jeggings because I live in Arizona and we have mild winters compared to most places, and I could get more wear out of it that way.

Hi Ethel, it is not. Although this one seems like a "droopy" turtleneck, I would still consider it one. Cowl neck usually is wider and really reveals a lot of the neck.

Hello Alisa! Thank you for this. The weather is turning here in the UK, we had our first frost on 1st October...it's all downhill from here until around the end of March! Mid winter we only get around 6 or so hours of daylight, so, being able to snuggle up in a jumper (as it is known in UK!) like this would be the perfect hygge solution to keeping warm and happy! 👍😊 It's on the list xx
