Honestly, I don't see people who can braid hair well anymore. You are a real hair braider. Back in my day, his type of hair was the ideal hair texture for braiding, which is why it looks so good in braided/dreadlock styles. Now, folks act like his hair is too difficult to braid. I'm impressed you didn't need to manipulate his hair to braid it by straightening it first (blow-dryer) or by slathering it in a bunch of gel. Great job! It looks wonderful

She's a old school braider. When I was a young dude my mom would braid my hair without blow drying it. Texture of the hair definitely makes a difference in how the end result will look.

Great Job Lamsie, I's wondering, for someone currently rocking all back cornrows and looking to seriously grow out their natural hair overtime, would it be a bad idea to use extensions in the meantime? Any negatives? Could it stunt the growth process? And lastly, could the extensions be used to make out other braided designs different from the regular all-back?

This is not considered very short hair! My mother can catch hair as short as 1.75" that requires exceptional talent to catch. The braids you did on his full 3.5" hair if not 4" length hair ( if straightened) are nice though

You did well here and his hair would be down to his shoulders if you blow dry it because the braids would look super clean and last longer Because shrinkage with Afrocentric hair is a intriguing thing on some amazing alien like vibes of Afrocentric hair can look huge after blow drying it to its true length
