Hey guys, No Ramadan is complete without this! This is one of my favourite Ramadan delicacies. Growing up we’d often have this with sugar syrup but I think I like the glazed version better! I hope you enjoy this and everything I mentioned in the video is below! x
Ingredients used:
Doughnuts/bur:
1 cup self-raising flour
1/2 cup plain yoghurt (any white yoghurt will do)
Optional: my mum use to add an egg when we were really young for the extra nutrition as she would say!
You can use buttermilk. If you would like to make it at home simply mix 1/2 cup milk with 1tbsp vinegar or Lemon. Leave it to rest for 10mins.
How to make self raising flour: 1 cup plain flour with 2 teaspoons baking powder. Make sure to mix it very well first before using.
Sugar glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
1-2 tbsp melted butter (if you don't want to use butter simply replace the same quantity with milk)
2 tbsp milk
1/4 tsp vanilla (this is optional)
