Kudos to the people that didnt let the driver/runner get away. Atleast the families of the victims wont have to beg someone on tv to come forward so they can attempt to get justice and closure. Everyone wants respect and to be treated fairly and like an adult but when they screw up they dont wanna BE the adult and take responsibility for their actions.

I would be ALL for people who cause fatalities because of reckless driving or under the influence while causing these fatalities, have their driving license taken away for life and also be in the system as not even being able to register a vehicle . Until really harsh consequences are handed down for who takes lives with their lawless and reckless operation of a vehicle, we will keep reading these tragic stories. Vehicles are a weapon when operated lawlessly and recklessly, so why not punish these idiots the same way those who have their 2nd A right to buy a gun taken away...and side note I do realize that there is MUCH to be done regarding legislation state by state about who should not be able to buy a gun.

@@ultimatums1 I 'Get" you Dark Knight, but we have to face the facts that many of those who are using guns in these mass shootings are NOT FIT to own one. I am all for the right people buying and owning guns, but when MOST of these awful shootings get boiled down, we are seeing that these people by a large percentage have mental illness. They should be in the system as not appropriate to buy and own guns because they cannot be responsible because of their illness. I will defend gun ownership for those who QUALIFY to do so. All my family owns guns and has from grand parents on down. NONE of them have mental illness and have no criminal histories.

When intersections are KNOWN to have many accidents, lights can help, but not do the whole job. I don't see why some sort of speed bumps leading up to these dangerous intersections could not be helpful . Just a thought. I lived in Tucson AZ and there were a number of well know intersections that were having serious and fatal accidents. They were test some some of "strips" similar to the ones on some highways if you stray out of your lane, I think they are called rumble strips....don't know how it played out in Tucson's bad intersections as I moved shortly after they started the tests. What a tragic and needless loss of lives in this accident. I hope the person who was driving recklessly that caused this gets the book thrown at him.

Instead of a $300 speeding ticket, it's now $1500. Make it statewide. Can't afford to pay?...well, then don't speed. Which every state would quadruple or quintuple fines for speeding. Whatever existing fines there are now...make it 5x more expensive across the board. I bet speeding would drop significantly.

I read all this crap about new cars being safe, and if the BMW isn't safe, I know it's not. I was in a 1976 Cadillac Fleetwood that was T-boned not skimmed down the side that Jeep wasn't totally mangled in the front with the hood wadded up all the way to the windshield. Imagine a 1977 Camaro with the hood what it all up not folded but wanted up to the windshield with the windshield completely powdered, and a 76 Fleetwood with a half foot divot in the side and the frame bent 11 in from an 80 mph T-Bone impact and guess what not one person received a scratch. No airbags no ABS no aluminized body work either thick heavy gauge steel. With an additional heavy gauge steel reinforcement behind the door itself and more heavy gauge steel door inner. You got to get 14 miles to the gallon to get some safety they all remember that when the salesman says oh we have this nice one over here and it gets 31 miles to the gallon go look at the junkyard go look at the watered up cars I walked across the Honda and looked down and said what am I walking on and it was a Honda Civic completely flat by an accident not the salvage yard it had been brought in that way. Thank Jimmy Carter and his 25 miles to the gallon mandate for cars.
