On this episode of THINK4X4, Ben and Lochie cross Logan's Creek and Nolans Brook. The drama across those two crossings alone would have been enough to form an episode.
But in classic Cape York style, it didn't end there. As we were driving off the Tele Track towards the Development Road we received a call for help over the UHF. Two Nissan Patrols were extremely bogged and in need of a multi - vehicle recovery.
The two stuck Patrols had unknowingly ventured along part of the Tele Track that not many vehicles drive anymore - The section between Nolans Brook and the Jardine River. The reason vehicles don't often drive this track anymore is because you are no longer allowed to cross the Jardine by vehicle at this location. You now have to take the Jardine River Ferry which usually means that Nolans Brook crossing is the last major obstacle on the Old Tele Track.
The 5 or so km's we drove along this track before we reached the first bogged Patrol formed some of the most spectacular scenery we'd seen so far on our trip up to the Tip from Melbourne.
As we approached the first bogged Patrol we were informed that it was the least bogged out of the two. They were right. The second Patrol was so stuck it took 4 vehicles just to get the thing to move.
Strap in and enjoy one of the greatest episodes so far from THINK4X4.
*We have also snuck some bloopers in at the end so you can see our 'un-edited' selves across our 4 day Cape York exhibition.
