Does anyone know what the *composition* of the *walls* of the ventricles is? I understand that this video is only ~2 min, and is just basic, and I understand that the ventricles are *lined* with ependymal cells, and that perhaps pia is in some way involved, at least in the *choroid plexus* (and perhaps on the outside of the ventricles too?), but I'm wondering what the full *structure* of the walls of the ventricles is.

The answer depends on the ventricle. If you're looking for an in-depth exploration of the composition of the walls of each ventricle, I'd suggest checking out something like Gray's Anatomy. There is a chapter (18 in the edition I'm looking at) on the ventricular system and subarachnoid space that explains the composition of the walls, roof, and floor of each ventricle.

@@neurochallenged Thanks! I'll see if I can find it online, www.bartleby.com/107/ , seems to only go up to ch 12, so I'll see what else I can find. This question relates to & derives from my other recent question about pia following vasculature into the brain, all relative to wondering *how* pia gets into the Choroid Plexus.

They are more a space than an actual structure I think ..Consider the simple example in the spinal cord where the central canal is the "ventricle" ..It is a space between the neurons of the spinal cord. Although in the brain the pia mater is probably the closest thing you could call as a composition..

You guys OCD is a severe mental illness that is dibilitating to the people who have it. These minor annoyances due to things not being the way you want is not OCD. Please do not compare this disorder to your behaviors unless you have been diagnosed with OCD.
