This is gonna make me sound egotistical so I'll level it out ahead of time by saying I suck at a lot in life. The one thing I found I was really good at after finally getting into a serious relationship for the first time is spontaneous super romantic gestures. @@nrs10001 This is the problem with TV, it teaches us stuff that doesn't work at all in real life. If you show a girl that you are way way more interested in the relationship that she is (what Ted does with this big romantic gesture on their first date), then that will make yourself a LOT less attractive. In reality Stella would probably be saying something like: 'you're really nice and sweet, but I'm not interesting in you romantically', at the end of the date. Women only like romantic gestures which show an interest in her, which she herself already has for you. Ted's 2 minute date took days of preparation, while she initially didn't even want to go out. Ted's date would have been appropriate after years of being together. In reality it would have been a huge turn off, I don't even think looking like a model could have seved Ted in reality. Sorry mate, but the TV shows you watched lied to you. If you don't believe me, ask other men who do/did these big romantic gestures. Quit doing these romantic gestures, you're ruining your love life.

I feel like this is the most thoughtful romantic gesture Ted ever did compared to all the other things he did for his girlfriends. Even compared to the things he did for Robin. Also to me, she was the only girlfriend with the greatest personality though Victoria was also great she was just a little boring and cringey. Robin was funny, but she was so annoying as his girlfriend. She was a better character when she wasn’t with him. Stella also had the best chemistry to him (if we don’t include the mother, which I haven’t been because she blows them all out of the water). So I don’t understand why she is the least liked. She probably hurt him the most, but it made sense to me.

Every single girl ted has dated is better than fucking robin. Mother was best. She had to die.Okay i can accept that. But she had to die so ted could end up with fucking robin.Thats the only reason and nothing else. That just deminishes every single thing abt mother.Thats not fair.Especially if its because of someone like fucking robin. Just wish Ted had ended up with anybody else in 2030 and not fucking robin. Imagine in this scene if it was robin...She wd hv gone "This is lame" route on ted in two seconds.

Yes. I think so. There was another doctor Ted went to after meeting the woman who searched for soulmates using online algorithms.

Yes. It would only make sense for Ted to be able to pull this off by calling in favors from people he knew.
