I’ve lost count how many times I’ve seen videos recommending foot spray Chris, but I’ve never before seen your idea of a line made with the tee dividing the face into 4 quadrants. That’s quite brilliant!

I have seen others advising to do similar things (except the quadrant thing) but they don't seem to be able to provide the insights that you do. Thank you Chris for clearly explaining why we need to do these types of practice as it has given me a greater understanding on how i can improve my shots.

Hi Chris my question is I’m very tall 6’8”and all my irons are 3 degrees up and my drivers aren’t adjustable. Do you have any suggestions on this topic?

Do you have any advice to stay and remain focused on every shot? Some shots are great, but lose focus thinking I'm automatic and miss hit it..

Super helpful, thanks, especially keeping one’s shoulders aligned with the target line, which I feel is most likely a problem for me. I’d be interested in seeing what changes to my set-up I’d need to make when hitting a wood from the tee rather than my driver.

Chris. I can hit all my irons and wedges pure. I love hitting my 4 iron. My 3 hybrid is old reliable. But I cannot for the life of me hit my driver. I listened to the “keep the driver out of the bag” and I haven’t used driver on the course in over five years, but it’s time. I followed all your advice and watched all your videos about driver, but it’s a push, push slice, or a duck hook to the right when I try to keep it in the middle. I hope this video helps but I’m at wits end and don’t have the funds for a lesson with a local pro.

That’s more common than you might expect. Your problem likely comes from not being able to adjust from hitting down to hitting up. Try hitting balls at half speed off a high tee and don’t stop until you hit it solid. Remember also that you don’t lead with your hands with driver, your hands should come through about even with the ball. Set up appropriately and maybe set the head several inches behind the ball until you get used to it. It’s like riding a bike; once you get it.....

Strike lessons right out of The Practice Manual. This will help with irons too. Hit 10 out of toe, 10 heel, and 10 center. Love this skill development instead of swing magic fix or bandaid.

I watch and re-watch also .. great idea of hitting particular quadrant .. will let you know how it goes over next few months. There is a problem with a square stance for me, however. There isn't any "give" in my forward ankle. In fact, if I use a square stance my ankle prevents my forward leg from turning at the top socket. It has even thrown my hips backwards if I leave it steady, so I pick up my forward foot (left one for me) on the backswing and turn the heel to start my downswing. This motion causes my leg to turn and then of course the hips. Otherwise, every shot goes dead right by 45 degrees.

After you placed the alignment sticks on the ground it looked like you were standing really far from the golf ball. What is an easy way to set up distance wise facing the ball every time with each different club ?? Especially Driver !!!

Excellent content, Chris. Setup is imperative and often overlooked. It has been the core of many of my recent practice sessions with the driver. My shoulders have a tendency to open as I am right hand dominant and lose my tilt away from the ball at times. The feet can be an illusion and don’t necessarily tell the story of good shoulder alignment. Addressing these issues has allowed me to find the center of the club face again and has done wonders with my accuracy off of the tee. Continue the great work. 👍

Love it! Can't tell you how many times I'll catch my playing partners teeing up the ball *in the middle of their stances!* They simply forget that they have to adjust for the longer club. Amnesia seems to run rampant with many golfers.
