A load of laundry, washed, dryed & folded takes over an hour. Then there's the drivetime spent collecting the laundry & returning it. Wear & tear on your vehicle, gas expenses, materials expenses... you're making less than $20/load. Not worth it.

@@mikeohara1055 Killer so far has been the distance since you have to quadruple it, so anything over about 5-8 miles is going to be pretty low pay per mile unless you manage to get a big tip. It takes over an hour to do a load of laundry from putting in the washer to folding. At $20 an hour you would have to work 10 hours a day every day of the month to make $6000. If you are only getting $14 or $15 a load you'll need to sit at a laundromat all day and work multiple orders at once.

I thought the laundry mat was the idea at first. I don’t want someone’s grease and lint in my machines. I had a down on his luck friend stay with me for a couple weeks. First couple loads of laundry he did and my clothes now smelled kinda like him. Humans are gross. Not only skin and oils but god knows what other… fluids 😮. What if they work as a dishwasher at a high volume restaurant? It’s either you have a secondary washer/dryer for some work purpose or you go to a facility to do it.

Hampr in particular sounds okay if you have the washer / dryer to do it (take it, dump it in, wash it - then your free till it goes in the dryer where your free again till folding). Just thinking, alot of the folks who might like to do this probably won't have the nice big washer / dryer to do it in. If you have the facilities seems like it'd be good to try if the time works for you.
