I incorporate these steps in to all new shocks builds and when doing maintenance.
If you are stripping your RC for full maintenance, do clean and lubricate the hinge pins, I use Anti Friction Dry PTFE.
Tip 1, cleaning the shock shaft, removing residue left from the production process.
Tip 2, O-ring grease will preserve the rubber and help prevent it deteriorating and cracking over time whilst reducing friction when the shock is being used.
This demo was done with the Tamiya Super Mini CVA Shocks.
