I know this is just a friendly match, but I'm so excited for this team USA squad. They have so much depth and talent. Obviously, it's early to say but if they continue like this they're going to win the 2019 World Cup.

Don't worry about it. I'm sure that it's just because when you are dominating a game, you don't need to get as excited for your goals. It actually shows class and maturity.

BS. As soon as Pugh scored instead of going towards Pugh Morgan looked right at Pinoe with that smile. I think Pugh had every right to shoot, she's confident and her finishing is top class, not just blind power shot. But I can understand Pinoe's frustration because she was open (there's still a chance of being intercepted), the way Morgan reacted on the other hand was just disappointing, it's not the right attitude.

I feel like Rapinoe gets mad when they are in the 18 and she doesn’t get the ball, like where she isn’t happy when mal took the ball and scored for herself
@AllenCross

You're not wrong, tho' I think she's less 'angry' than frustrated, however briefly. Not to say she was correct ere, but this is common for players with great vision-of-play, who often see - and then react to - gaps more quickly than others. Pinoe is famous for the looks given teammates if she thinks they should have passed her the ball. US commentators avoid such things, but during the 2019 WWC BBC's Jonathan Pearce saw how, 'Rapinoe flashed Mewis a hard glare.' Playing for Olympique Lyonnais (~2013), she claims teammates chastised her "for saying 'oui' ('yes') too much." Later, back in the USA, she explained: "They weren't passing me the ball, so I kept saying 'oui'...like, 'Oui! Pass me the ball!'" And I believe that's fair play to Megan, overall - she's not selfish about passing. Assists don't tell the whole story, but Pinoe has 59 in 158 USWNT caps. Compare that with Tobin (38 assists; 156 caps) or even Carli (52 assists; 281 caps). .

At 47:56 of this video, during Pugh's second goal, the defender should have slide tackled that touch that was a bit too hard from Pugh.

Where's Rose Lavelle? She's the best attacking midfielder we have.
@chrisradovan7642

I think that her being the best attacking midfielder is not something that can be determined only after 6 games expecially if 2 of those game are against a sub par team like Russia. Let see if and when she comes back to see how she play in the big games. Where is she at, she is still nursing a hamstring injury she got back in June of 2017. That's over 7 months ago. I read she had rehab while in training camp which puzzles me that she is still rehabbing over 7 months since the injury. If it is only the hamstring strain I am puzzled as to why it has taken her this long. I am no expert in hamstring strains. I know that depending on the severity of the hamstring injury some injuries take longer than others but something being reported as being a hamstring strain even her NWSL team the breakers indicated that she will out 4 to 6 weeks other article say 6 to 8 weeks but like I said I am no expert on how long it takes for a hamstring strains take to heal or what it takes to rehab and come back but over 7 months? I am beginning to wonder if it is more of Rose not doing what it takes to rehab or that her injuries take longer than most to heal or if it was more severe than what was reported? Any hamstring injury specialist out there?

You can see Morgan's underwhelming reaction to Pugh's scores. Pugh is not passing. Fine, she has scored. She passed to Morgan once in the first half. But Morgan is just waiting, waiting. Opportunities in the first half. But she won't pass. Scoring makes it look good but other times they won't go in

Urban Dictionary: fye www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=fye An adjective that can describe either a person or a thing that one greatly approves of. Originating from the South, the term fye is simply the word "fire" with a heavy southern accent added. "Fye" and "fire" can be used interchangeably as adjectives in this sense, depending on the preference of the speaker. See: Hot.

Just watched this game again and I really liked the way the gals are playing, but Rapinoe needs to quit playing around with the ball at her feet and keep it moving. All that showboatin' means nothing if it doesn't lead to goals. Pugh plays a much more direct and simple game with better results.

She was left off the roster by the new coach and when they cut down to 18 players for the Olympics, that likely means she won't be on that team either
