Carli Lloyd was great even when she lost that penalty. More practice on Penalties. Rapinoe need btobteavh her team mates. How to kick perfect Penalties.

...I think this is interesting. I do, wholeheartedly agree, she's been a shell of her former self. What I find interesting is Wagner's comments with regard to the system Pugh has been in. Wagner took a small shot at Ellis, by saying she didn't develop complementary action to strengthen Pugh's skill set. She also noted how she's said this before. Not commentating during a game she hasn't. She did nothing but lick Ellis' boots. I've been saying for years that Pugh would highly benefit from a new/better coach. These thoughts are documented in past games. I think she's on the upswing as there have been notable instances where she's made impact plays executed from reaction and instinct. As more and more of these efforts prove beneficial the game will slow back down for her. She's overthinking. A flaw imposed by Ellis. I really like Pugh and want her to excel. I don't think she's the brightest bulb in the box though. Ellis was a tweaker and made the game more difficult with far less rewards by adding superfluous complexity. If Pugh can find some mental freedom in Andonovksi's system, she'll be dangerous again...."Don't think, meat...just throw." ha ha. She hasn't had many minutes of late. More minutes, with consistent pairings (same players around her) will help her rebound dramatically. The game came naturally to her and continuity is the most important element for her proper development. Familiarity breeds cohesion and growth. She needs to feel the game again not plan it. Taking a low futbol iq player and make her play with a new line and new scheme game after game...is a mental overload and a recipe for disaster.

*The second goal was caused by a mental error of both Becky Sauerbrunn and Alyssa Naeher. What Sauerbrunn should have done is to kick the ball out. Furthermore, the Swedish discovered that the flank defended by Casey Short was weak and constantly tried to penetrate thru there. Carli Lloyd missing a penalty is becoming customary. She missed one against Chile in the World Cup. The natural position for Mal Pugh is the right flank, not the left one. Lynn Williams didn't perform at the level that Pugh used to when she is playing that position.*

He need to insist in the food that is going to be prepared at the Olympics, less meat and more salads. This time the team need to be totally FIT, Lindsey Horan needs to stop eating Yogurt, and eat cheese. She is the heaviest in the team. She need to read the book "MILK, THE DEADLY POISON" By Robert Cohen. Milk causes blood thickening and causes 37 illnesses for adults and children. They need to practice the Japanese precision in passes. Give a chance to HOPE, even in the bench in case something happened to Naher. Lynn Williams need to react faster when is one to one in front of the goal keeper. (George, former Assistant coach and referee in Pasadena, California, from 🇨🇱 Chile.

34:13 Why is Naeher on her post? Why do I have to say this every single game she plays? Freeze it at 34:11...what good does it do to be on the post? 6 feet to her right and she has the same angle on the attacker as she did pre shot. And she covers the whole net. It's easier to move forward, towards the ball if the attacker goes near post instead of a cross and backwards. Goal keeping is all about positioning and keeping coverage ability on both sides of your body. Being on the post eliminates half of your body and three quarters of your range. I like just covering a 1 foot area around my trusty post and let 19 feet remain wide open. -Naeher. 37:15 Why is Naeher interjecting herself into this play? It's not even in her box! She runs out and stops at the edge of it and waits in nowhere land with no support behind her. What is she thinking? It's one thing to be aggressive, it's another to not realize that as soon as that ball hits the ground, it's penetration momentum has stopped. She needs to turn around and sprint to goal. If not realize this sooner. The whole line was in tact. Sauerbrunn was right there and because Naeher came up, she changed her attack on the ball to shielding instead. That is ugly and stupid. Bone-headed. Unnecessary. This could turn out to be a fantastic win though...Andonovski can see, first hand, how garbage Naeher is. This easily should have been a 3-0 shut out. Let's hope that this is her last game.

*The new coach is directing these games with sentimentality by giving a chance to new players. You cannot do that. For the national team, he has to stick with the same players who have functioned so far. The success of a football team lies in that the players must know the movement of one another by heart. This cannot be achieved by experimenting with new players in each game. Secondly, you have to take into account the Down Scott factor. Scott quit and moved to England to train the England national team. In this game, they run out of steam. Something that never happens to the USWNT. Scott was the High-Performance Coach.*

Ralph Smith but this is a training match so are suppose to give young players a chance. No offence to the US team but most of that squad they played with are either in their early/late 30s or late 20s. If they dont give young girls a chance then sooner or later it will bite back at them.
