Thanks very much for the instructions but I faced two challenges: 1. The mega menu shows when I hoover on the button disappears the moment I move the cursor from the button 2. My site has 3 slides and I implemented slide #1. Even though the button is on the other 2 slides it does not open the mega menu when on the other 2 slides, what could I have missed? Please guide me, thanks.

very instructive tutorial, appreciate you. the hover open mega menu is working great, however the code for mouseOUT doesn't do anything and the menu just stays open. i copied your code exactly and am unsure what i am doing wrong.

Great tutorial, works fine! But one would need the regular menu below the buttons to have it available on mobile in the burger? Right?
@BizLadder

You could have the menu under it or add elements to the mobile menu as Wix now allows more objects to be added to the mobile version

A quick question. Would this impact how google index and crawls each page of the website? because we are removing the sub-pages from the actual drop down menu.

huge problem for the code is that you cant hide that button from desktop meaning you're just duplicating 2 buttons on desktop mode?

Awesome tutorial! i managed to make it work! just wanna know about the connecting the button to the box mentioned at 16:26. Would it make the overall look more seamless?
@BizLadder

yes, absolutely would be a better user experience to connect the box and button for that mouseout event

@@BizLadder HI! how do i make it responsive? cause when shown on a wider screen, the menu will appear in the middle of the page instead of the button.

@@putriyusri8705 Short answer...you don't. At least not in Wix Editor. That platform is adaptive, but not responsive. To get a truly responsive site you have to switch over to Wix EditorX But, it sounds like there could be a way to use strips, columns, and alignment to achieve sync'd movement with the menu and button

@@BizLadder How can I go about connecting the box and the button so they can share the mouseout event. I'd like to avoid triggering another mousin event on the box as it causes it to blink. Thanks in advance!

do you find that with the lightbox method it scrolls with the page?
@BizLadder
2 жыл бұрын
It shouldn't, no. Lightboxes effectively freeze the page while they're open. Are you seeing a background scroll under a Lightbox?
@BizLadder
2 жыл бұрын
@Saif Mian Looks like it is now set to scroll with a lightbox unfortunately. You could set a background color to hide the page or explore a more complex code option

It was a great explanation. I got to make it work with the button, but if I move the mouse to the other menu item, the first box keeps on. How can I create a rule for when I move the mouse out to the sides or up? Because if I create a rule mouse out for the menu the box won't stay showing at all.
@thealmahub

I got it! for each menu button you have to do a box show and box hide. $w('#megamenubox').show(); $w('#megamenubox1').hide(); }

@@BizLadder @Carolina Palotti Hi, could you possible explain how you got this to work, I'm not sure what you mean by adding a box show and hide? I would like for the hidden element to hide again if the user does not mouse over the element - like you said if the the mouse goes out/sideways/up of the button instead of down to the menu. Thanks!
