Good question which I forgot to say! I've just searched again and come up with blue tits, coal tits and marsh tits.

I am both very impressed and very hungry after watching that, not sure whether to bake or build now. Joking aside, great design and perfectly executed as always, well done.

Great idea, though maybe a good bit of Hawthorn split in two to replace the baton would be more aesthetically pleasing and have good, lasting strength ?? :-)

If the wood was still wet, it might have been easier sawing using a bowsaw with a green wood (raker tooth) blade. Across the grain only, not your bandsaw along the grain cuts.

They look fantastic hopefully you will get some takers, we have two in our garden and nothing, I have slowly eradicated the cats round here but still nothing, We have loads of visitors but no takers 😟 (“Edit”) what I meant was having 2 dogs and a taller trellis has stopped the cats from coming in the garden not been taking them out with anything lol 😂

I know through trimming a cherry tree at home it isnt the easiest wood to cut by hand. I use my electric chainsaw when i can now.

@@TheCarpentersDaughterUK i am very careful when and where i use mine. I know they can do a lot of damage if not used correctly. With any power tool i know my limit with them.
