Don’t know if you will see this or if your still even thinking about couch combat, but I think a fun twist (could also be a modifier) would be that when characters are killed they enter a “down but not out state” where an enemy would have to throw/push them off the map for them to actually die, and if the character is left in the down but not out state for a set amount of time they get revived… feels like that would add to the fun chaotic mess especially in games with +2 people

Right now I’m pretty much 100% focused on my new game, but I’ll keep a modifier like this could be fun for an update in the future

“Each frame, the bullets draw a ray cast between where it was and where it is last frame. The bullet draws a line cast between where it is now and where it was last frame. If that line cast, yes it’s a line cast, not a ray cast, hits anything, then it calls an event that destroys the bullet and creates particles. This also completely eliminates the need for bullets to have a collider at all, they just use ray cast.” So is it a ray cast or a line cast?

Hey man I was wondering how you deal with situations where you hit a wall and take a lot of time to eventually only make very little progress. I am a musician but hit those walls especially often when I try to complete projects and upload them to the internet with visuals. My projects never took more than 1 week max. so I really would like to learn how to work invested on a project for at least half a year in order to reach more complete and "perfect" results that are worthy of sharing on the internet. Thanks for the long compilation of your older videos! Wish you only the best and keep doing what you enjoy! :)

I hit walls like that often, and most of the time, I just kind of keep going. I usually will lose a lot of productivity over these times, but I’m not really in a time crunch so it sort of works for me now and I eventually get out of the rut and become way more productive for awhile
@isaakm1
Жыл бұрын
@@ButWhyLevin Then I guess what I am doing different is that I just switch to another project instead of waiting out until I "get out of the rut". I think I'll try to limit my projects to a number of 3-5 then. That still allows me to switch when I need some distance from a problem but I still get projects done since I don't just start endless new ones! Thanks a lot for you help! You definetely earned the sub and I'm looking forward to watching your progess! :) You really inspire me to overcome those walls! :D

THis reminds me of the good old days on fortnite, even though many people relate, none relate to how those were the last memories of my brother, him playing a match or teo with me, and always going to this dusty place (not dusty depot) then to a haunted castle then to another pleasent park, then to polar peak, and unless we gliding to polar peak, we neve made it there, i still havr thr worlds we trained on, but i never learned 😂, it hard having those memories here, but not being able to do them anymore😢

the pixilated gradient background you use is killing the bit rate so even at 1080p the video in the center is still bad quality

hey man, love your content, i have a request if you could... I'd love to know the difference between visual studio and visual studio code. please:) lately i been trying to get into VS Code but couldnt help it because visual studio felt more comfortable, even though everyone tells me VS Code is better... maybe i didnt set up VS Code as i should? maybe its different from windows and mac? im on mac by the way, if anyone else can answer me it would be appreciated aswell thanks in advance:D

I’d recommend to just try to follow a beginner tutorial series over a simple sort of game to make, like a platformer or rolling ball game, and while you’re doing it, try and pay special attention to what the code you’re writing actually does. By far the best way to learn coding is just by making things, so even if it initially feels like you aren’t getting anywhere, just working on anything programming related will eventually pay off. Just stay consistent and willing to learn new stuff and you’ll go far
