It is still saddening that such a magnificent talent had so much pain and unhappiness running thru the thread of her personal life.

“What a sad life, what a sad death.” I would hate that to be her legacy. As much is made about the tragedies she suffered, I do believe Judy Garland was an optimistic, happy person.

Judy was an extraordinary talent, she could sing, dance,,,,,and .Her voice on my CD's still thrills me. It was a tragedy and crime how her mother and MGM studios abused her. She was also put on endless diets, as shew as told she was too fat. Lorna wrote a memoir ,about life with her mother, and there were some disturbing times. I'm sure she let out some the real horrible stuff. I do applaud her for writing, speaking and carrying on her mother's legacy .Her father was also her mother's manager and in the beginning things were al lright,t hen he didn't pay the taxes and gambled away their money ,his children's money. When they divorced she was broke. Lorna doesn't mention that.

Lorna has made a career out of being "Judy Garland's daughter." And, she'll never let you forget it." Anything in her book, I've read in countless other Judy bios. Yet, her account is suppose to have weight, because she's the daughter? Give me a break. There isnt anything Lorna doesn't know. Just ask her.....

Yes, it carries weight. She was there. She had access and witnessed things that professional biographers could only find out second and third-hand, if at all.
