@@ReneeKaulitz I agree, it seems like he's trying to downplay planet fitness. I don't go to planet fitness and I think their lunk alarm is dumb but they have options available to everybody. His statement on how 75lbs is not enough to progressively overload is nothing a beginner should even begin to worry about, 75lbs is plenty for any novice lifter. People who are capable of 75lbs+ exercises probably have found a suitable gym already, so this video targets beginner and is very misleading seeing that he's not really qualified or knowledgable in this topic to make such assumptions.

As someone who has been working out consistently and passionately my entire adult life and as someone who has experienced every type of gym you can think of I can assure you that the best "gym" is your home gym. For the first time in my life the 2020 shutdowns forced me to come up with home gym solutions and after a lot of thought and planning I figured out a way to work out my entire body at home with minimal space and minimal equipments (Everything fitting in my bedroom) The convenience of a home gym encourages you to workout more frequently, which improves your overall results. I've been getting the best result of my life since 2020 after I started working out at home and I was shocked to figure out how little amount of equipment you actually need to hit every muscle including lower body and best of all it's completely free after you buy a few pieces of equipment, it's available to your 24/7, and there are zero interruptions and wait times.

With this you can cover your bicep + additional back exercises (example: barbell rows) + some shoulder exercises. 4. A small set of regular dumbbells preferably going up to at least 50 lbs. With these dumbbells you can cover a variety of exercises including triceps, biceps, and shoulders. 5. A dipping belt. This is the most important piece of equipment because it will allow you to continuously increase weight to your free body exercises on the pull up + dip station as you improve. 6. An exercise mat (So you can lie on the ground for your main triceps workouts. Optional: -Adjustable dumbbells if you want more free weight lower body exercises. - Some resistance bands for added exercise variety. That's pretty much it. Best gym membership I’ve every had is Planet Fitness. $25 bucks a month for a gym that’s only 50% packed on a “Busy” day, people don’t bother you, and the heavy weights are almost always NEVER taken! I have yet to wait for the 45s to stop being used. But it’s Nice walking in and having an environment where you can get to work without having to wait 30 mins for a machine to become available💯 but that’s just me

MimiMadness94 couldn’t agree more. I go to a brand new PF and they have quite a bit of stuff. We have battle ropes, kettlebells, plenty of bands, foam rollers...hairdryers. Just utilize what they have and make it work. You can get a great workout, but it’s all about how you choose to do that. Personally I like seeing families and people who are overweight. I used to go to what people call a "real gym" and a lot of stuff I couldn't use because I don't have the strength yet, and honestly not hearing guys grunt with EACH rep is pretty nice. (There's 10000% a difference between breathing hard or making some sounds compared to legitimately loudly grunting every second like a tool)

Brotha, I go to Planet Fitness myself. I also have a membership to Edge Fitness. Before I even went to Edge, my main membership was at Planet Fitness only. Funny part is, through a lot of time qnd effort, I could easily go to other gyms and outlift people there. Saying people that go to Planet Fitness "aren't really gym goers"........ Brotha, I'd LOVE for you to come to my gym and work out with me for a solid week straight. Your perspective is DEFINITELY going to change

It’s not about the gym, it’s about determination, fancy towels and equipment don’t get you shredded, you can get shredded with no gym. Still cool to see what the expensive gym looked like lol.

Equinox is definitely not for everyone. But I love it. After trying gyms all over Toronto, it’s my favourite gym. Also, because it’s expensive I found myself going there more often, so I am not feeling like I’m burning money.

My gym in the UK has 3 saunas, a steam room, a hydro pool, squash courts, showers and I just bring my own Khiels and it’s the equivalent of $60 p/m

Ishan Ali a lot of the people who go to those gyms usually live in high end condos/apartments near by and also pay for the views. Wouldn’t matter to me but it’s for certain type of people.

It's not for a certain type of people, it's solely for the wealthy. This is how the system of hierarchies work, it divides social classes, it's the ultimate form of segregation. It's to make the wealthy always feel superior to social classes that are lower than them in the hierarchy.@@hectormorones8733

Most people in the gym aren't like that, they either keep to themselves, maybe point out form problems, talk about different lifts, etc. Asswipes like him are a minority, anyone that acts like an asshole gets booted after 2 strikes.

Disrespectful how exactly? People vary in their personal goals, including fitness... There is absolutely nothing wrong in pointing this out.
