I just gushed about this over on twitter lol so I won't repeat myself but thank you so much for including me on this list and putting this list together. When I first started searching the keyword "wheelchair" on youtube, all I got was videos from wheelchair vendors and companies but nothing from the community. KZitem has been slowly suggesting fellow PWD content. Lolo is fantastic and now I am really excited to check out the other people on this list

You are the cutest ever (also shut up your hair is FAB) and this was an AMAZING list! Thank you for introducing me to a whole bunch of new fantastic people! This makes me so inspired to create more videos actually about illness + disability, rather than simply mentioning it and including it in my "average" content. In fact, the minute I hop out of this beautifully pain relieving bath I shall film something. I'm not sure what, but you have inspired me and I'm going with it! Much love

Thank you for your videos. I'm a fifteen year old with severe tourettes and because of a medication my anxiety has recently skyrocketed, causing sensory overload, specifically bc of a myriad of noises. It's so amazing for me to see how many other people are out there with EDS. When my mom was diagnosed (and her doctor said that I have it too but never gave me an "official" diagnosis) I had never heard of it and it felt like it was so rare because we never knew anyone else with it. It almost felt like we were the only ones in the world and it was very isolating. It helps so much to not feel alone in this anymore and it's very inspiring to see people on KZitem being so vocal about it.

Disabled musician here (relapsing / remitting multiple sclerosis) I haven't been able to play drums professionally since before the diagnosis last year. It's impossible to describe how scary it is to lose such a big part of your life... Well, my super awesome friend Kristen was kind enough to get me a steel tongue drum so that I can make music again. Yay! I've only been playing a couple of weeks, and just for friends and family, but it's really helped with fighting cognitive deficits and depression. It's also helped build back a little confidence, which has been very shaky since the diagnosis last year (and even before as my health steadily declined over the last several years). Started making smartphone recorded videos, but hope to eventually get better equipment. Hopefully, I'll also be able to create better material overall (if I'm ever not working on a cheap tablet with free software) and write songs that include other instruments (djembe, cajon, bongos, etc.) as I learn this instrument better and learn to record acoustic instruments in general... Check out what I've got so far. Subscribe to show your support as I fight MS one song at a time. Thanks for your time. God bless. Right now, I'm not very consistent about uploading videos, but I am just finishing up with school this week, so I may be posting more often (at least I hope so!). Also, at the moment, a lot of my videos are mainly travel or a bit of everyday life, but I do hope to add more vlogs related to sexuality, being Deaf, advocacy, stuff like that.

Hi Elaine Keep up this great work your doing ! I believe more of us should do more things like your doing I'm wanting to but am just not knowing in what way to go about talking about the illnesses I see you also are a spoonie so you understand what autoimmune is all about it sucks!!! I just found your channel I am so happy I did!☺ I am also a ASMR youtuber I am disabled with many autoimmune illnesses & because of a car accident in 1994 I have back and neck surgeries that have caused me to not able to work. through the years though I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis at age 19 this causes me mentally and physically pain I was diagnosed with systemic lupus in 2000 they say if you are diagnosed with one autoimmune illnesses you more then likely have more in my case this is so true I also have raynauds, sjogrens, scleroderma, chronic fatigue, osteoporosis,,social abxiety, depression, and a couple months ago sadly was told the lupus is now attacking my kidneys, as if one illness isn't enough to deal with right?! anyway I'm not really here to complain I just wanted you to know I am someone who also makes KZitem videos with disabilities and thought you might be interested in knowing my disabilities ☺ I also am a grandmother of a 7 year old she makes videos too I began making ASMR videos about a year ago the reason I got into making ASMR videos was because when I came upon this new thing called ASMR I realized how helpful they are for anxiety, sleep, relaxation. Because I'm unable to go out into the world to get a so called real job and feeling so un important not knowing my purpose in life etc I thought I'd start making ASMR videos myself to kinda give back if you will I had no idea my channel would grow to almost 3000 subs! I am much older then most KZitemrs my granddaughter she really loves making videos she loves knowing that our channel helps lots of people with sleep and relaxation. I do not make videos as much as my grandchild does lately because Ive not been not well I make videos here and there I think people love watching my granddaughter the most or they like watching us together but on the videos I've made by myself I noticed the ones they like most are the 2 I made on my own putting on my makeup because of my health, I do not want to promise something to our fans, I won't be able to keep up like makeup videos I would like to start talking about the illnesses but I am kinda shy and I tend to ramble because of the anxiety so I get worried to talk about important things like this I would really like to talk with you about some personal issues regarding making KZitem videos if you would not mind that is? or if you cannot help me possibly you might know of someone who could? I really hope to hear back from you if you have read this far thank you Take care of yourself shar☺💟

I've been on KZitem since 2007 (long time). On my channel, I host a webseries called "As Sold on TV" which focuses on commercials from the past although during quaratine, I have introduced a pilot episode for a spin off series to "As Sold on TV" with the working title currently being "As Sold on TV: Music in Commercials" which focuses on music of famous musicians and bands throughout the decades being used in commercials. The pilot episode focused on the music of legendary British rock band, Queen. I also am working on finishing up an educational series in my film class which focuses on teaching disabled individuals how to travel independently. In some of my older vlogs, I do talk openly about being on the Autism spectrum (diagnosed formally in 1993 as having Asperger's Syndrome before the DSM-5 decided Asperger's should be part of the ASD. Now I just say High Functioning Autistic) and in some of my more recent vlogs, I talk about my new diagnosis of Hidradenitis Suppurativa which is an autoimmune condition that effects the skin. In my experience with having HS (not fun!) I've had gross red bumps appear in hard to see places (most common side effect), joint numbness, muscle pain in the legs (both of which I'm currently undergoing physical therapy for) and Gut health issues (basically having trouble keeping anything I eat down 🤢)

I was born with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome / F.A.S. it's permanent Brain damage caused by a women drinking Alcohol when She was Pregnant It's the ONLY Disability that's 100% Preventable By NOT Drinking during pregnancy. In the past I've gone to AA meetings and Shared my Story about having to live with Permanent Brain damage I was born with "Hypotonia" Low muscle tone It's weaknesses and looseness of both the Muscles and Joints throughout my Entire body. A Dr once told my adopted mom That I'd never be able to Walk , talk, and eat normally he said I would be Wheelchair Bound my entire Life. But I have Proved That Dr. Wrong too. I'm 25 currently and Autistic too. Last year in Sept I was diagnosed as having a Autoimmune Disease SLE / "Systemic Lupus, Erythematosus" MY Immune System is attacking MY RED and White Cells, once Healthy Body tissue, and even my organs are susceptible to damage It can cause Chronic fatigue, Muscle spasms, Migraines, Seizures, Organ failure heart attacks, Brain Hemorrhaging and ect, I have no Immune system to help me fight off sickness like Viruses, Cold, and Flu. Skin Exposure to sunlight outside including to Indoor lights can cause a "Lupus Flare up" to happen I've had it before. it's not Fun at all. Sadly There's NO Cure Yet for "Systemic Lupus, Erythematosus" / SLE Did you know that "Selena Gomez" and "Nick Cannon" both have Lupus. ?

Hi Annie, just found you, wonderful list, I’m going to check them out, I have a question or two, love to reach out to you, I’m a disabled woman who is older, who is totally blind, who is a psychotherapist and a mental health therapist and a coach, I’m thinking of putting the channel app for disability I have several things that I deal with, blindness is the predominate disability, but I’m also deal with mental clinical illness, I’m a breast cancer survivor, and a type two diabetic although it’s under control and I don’t even take insulin. I want to create a KZitem channel where I talk about psychology, mental health, helping us, wellness, and I put a disability spin off on it, part of what I’ll do is introduce subjects and then read in braille and talk about books that have been written on subjects such as for example what is happiness really about, not the fluff and stuff, but the real inner core of wholeness, or talking about standing up for oneself, being proactive, and how to advocate for yourself, or perhaps talking about our childhoods, or talking about the inner child, or talking about moving I’ve had going forward in some real concrete ways, or talking about what holds people back, the fears, doubts, the guilt, or perhaps talking about spirituality and how we can gain from our spirituality, this is it specifically about certain religious doctrines, it’s about a general focus for people who are different, disabled, unique, and people like me who work out of the proverbial box. Please please please contact me, renée.pavlus@gmail.com thank you for your time and expertise, and blessings to you

I basically have two speeds slow and slower. I forget a lot of things and it is a work in progress. Involuntarily I have all this time on my hands to travel and I want to vlog. Do you think I'll have an issue with me vloging? Well I give out the wrong impression. The only visible signs are that I use a cane and I limp considerably. I just came across this. I am disabled and I do not think you included me. However I can not remember if I started my channel in 2015 or 2016.

I always wanted to be a KZitemr but with my severe speech impediment, i don't get the conference to do it. Was 2 years ago been diagnosed with a fainting condition that isn't going away, so now finding work is impossible so i need a way to make money. but keep thinking no one will watch my vids
