That was the dullest chainsaw I’ve ever seen… that was a one second job for a sharp saw.

You still have to get a heavy log up into the holder plus it looks pretty flimsy.

Definitely the slowest cutting saw I have ever seen , next to a fried who put his chain on backwards, but then that cut faster also. That whole log holder thing it probably the most ridiculous tool I have seen on here, like mentioned you still have to lift a log into place , when it could have been cut on the ground, with a sharp saw lol.

If your back is strong enough to lift logs into that ridiculous tool then you would be better off cutting logs on the ground like most of us do. Cut 2/3 the way through then roll the log and finish cuts. Oh and for God's sake start with a sharp chain. Your back will thank you more then the use of this tool ever will.

The first one is horrible. Putting bolts through shingles like that just ruins the roof.

Not to even mention using RTV to fill the holes after, who would even make such a terrible video..

That log holder is cool. But someone should show that guy how to sharpen a saw. LOL.

yeah but how do you get the log on it in the first place? by lifting it which is counter productive if it's supposed to be a back saver.

The log holder would be more impressive if they cut a 6" section of that log four or five or six times... instead of showing the dullest chainsaw in the world trying to make a single cut

Ridgepro what! First video is absolutely wrong. If I saw anybody put that many holes in my roof, I'd push him off myself. Not a good thing to destroy your roof when it's being repaired.

plus, looks like you have to climb the roof attach it then get back on the ground to use it 🤔 seems pretty stupid to me.

Time saving and safer devices are good but I'm not always for LABOR saving inventions. Too much of them upsets a certain balance of our body and healthy living. When I was a kid in school, we used to carry our books, not in a backpack! At the airport, we carried our luggage - not pulled it on rollers. Some degree of physical exertion does more good than harm. Just look at the obesity, diabetes and heart problems we have more now.

The ridge pro: Drill some holes in the roof for no reason. I got up there without the bolts, got off the device so I could put bolts in, proving I didn't need it in the first place. Is this just a device to create roofing work?

The ridge pro, drill some holes use some silicone and come back when the silicone shrinks, and the roof is wrecked by water ingress. Future work classed as safety, great stuff.
