Doing some dishes and this automatically came on. Now I’m even more stoked for my coffee tomorrow morning and my long run!! Good vibes!

Love the porch talk! This is super helpful. Coming back from hip strain so really enjoyed it. Also love the run-a-long footage. I was in Charlotte (2018) and Winston-Salem opening restaurants. Great running and hiking to be had in NC.

It would be great to hear some more training insights in addition to shoe insights. Even though I'm not a marathoner and not a high mileage runner, they are informative

You motivated me to get my volume up and do my long run today so thank you. It was in your arch enemy the Superblast but I did tie the laces with a Supwell certified knot

Hope you’re staying hydrated out there! Really wanted to hit 16 today-super hot and humid in the Queen City this weekend so had to settle for a 90 minute/12 mi run as my form collapsed. Floating at 56 mpw/6 six runs. Hoping to hit 60 next week if everything goes smoothly!

Very helpful thoughts. I got up to 50-60 miles/week for several weeks and my performance dipped significantly so I had to back off on mileage and pace. Depending on all of our life factors, I think we have to constantly monitor our bodies to figure out what is appropriate for where we are. Enjoy your vacation.

Careful with this shoe. It ended up causing various pains in both my feet, top and bottom. It also cause knee/IT band syndrome pain. Once, I stop using them, the pains went away. I also noticed that after running in them my inner quads felt really fatiged also to the point cramping. So, I think these shoes control your stride a bit too much.

I also use Huma but my go to flavours are the mango ones and strawberry ones. I just used them for my marathon race two weeks ago 😊. I use Voom Fusion Fuel if I'm using a carb drink (which is usually more before running). Not sure it's available in the US though but the flavour is so much more mild than tailwind.

I am still debating the cloudeclipse.., they have the white colorway discounted at a local Dick's here in Oklahoma .. I might have to go down and try them on again....... and see if they may work out for me

As of now I would go for the novablast 4 or 1080 if I were buying a new max cushion shoe for running - cloudeclipse looks sweet and is great for walking but those other two have been much more comfortable for me running. I need to get some more miles in the cloudmonster hyper soon too because that was also a solid ride - a bit on the faster side though compared to this
@matthiassventoest6800

@@supwell 1080s already have those. just don’t want to be running in the same thing everyday. So it will be triumph 20, 1080, cloud eclipse.., for most daily. rebel, for tempo and workouts. no real race day shoe.., yet

I'd be curious to see how much faster you'd get doing a full training block of 80/20 where the 20% of your hours spent training is really high quality speed work and 80% of your hours are at low effort easy runs. If Stephen Seiler is correct and that's how the fastest pros train you'd be really fast I think cuz 130 miles weeks are pro level mileage.

As always great stuff! Quick question since you have kids, I am about to become a first time dad any day now. How would you advise I keep my mileage up with a newborn? Currently at 60 miles per week, want to get to 100. Thanks!

Best long run shoe of all time?

Ouu great question. Non plated probably Saucony triumph 20 or Asics novablast 4 - both are cushioned without feeling too soft at the end of long miles. And plated I'd go endorphin pro 3 or 4. Perfect mix of comfort, speed and fun. Need to get another long run in the pro 4 soon to see if it's really the goat tho 🤔

I'm thinking about taking the Nimbus 25 out for my Saturday morning run tomorrow. Question: Is there a way for you to get credit on a shoe at RW if I'm searching on their site as opposed to scrolling through the links on your website?
@tgibridays

If you use one of his links to get to RW, then purchase anything on the site he'll get a small cut of the cost. That's generally how referral links work.

Hey Yowana! I just bought the vomero 17 in the exact same color way as yours after thinking a long time, and I got it on ebay for $62 brand new so pretty exited about it!!! LOVE the videos as always and thx for convincing me to buy it, I hope it's going to be a great daily trainer for my XC/Track season :)

Yes I do! I started cleaning it with soap and water a few times a week. If it starts to get weird smelling I'll hit it with some shaving cream and after shave - it sounds weird but that combination completely kills any smells and the alcohol in the aftershave kills the bacteria

With summer being here, will you change your dietary requirements as well as pre/post run meals due to the increase in heat and humidity when preparing for long runs? Thanks and love the content as always.
