Finally someone who agrees with me that Stop and Smell the Roses is too underrated... I love the album!!! Top 3 for me...

I listened to “Ringo” yesterday for his birthday. It’s really the closest thing to a post-Beatles Beatles album because they’re all there, creative, and still had it going on.

Very cool Ringo ranking video Joe, here are my top 3 favourite Ringo Starr albums: #3-Goodnight Vienna #2-Ringo #1-Time Takes Time (One of my favourite Solo Beatles records and it’s in my top 15 favourite ever albums I love it that much. My favourite song from the album is the second track ‘Don’t Know A Thing About Love’, I especially love the chorus on that song as well as the backing vocals which are some of the best I’ve heard! Overall to me this album is fantastic and I can’t recommend it enough, it still annoys me the fact that the album had no number one hit singles!!!)☮️❤️

It‘s great fun to watch your ranking of Ringo‘s albums, thanks a lot for it! Beaucoups Of Blues and Sentimental Journey are two of my most beloved albums made by Ringo. Ringo and Goodnight Vienna come very close to this. So I would like to suggest to the Apple officials: Bring out a nice box set spanning Ringo‘s entire Apple catalogue, please.🍏

Hey Joe. This is a great tribute to Ringo for his 80th birthday, and an interesting ranking of his solo albums. My list would probably be a little different from yours, but that’s what makes these videos fun to watch! It would be very boring if everyone’s list was exactly the same. I would definitely put Choose Love higher on my list...I’ve really started to enjoy that album over the past couple years, and it could actually be one of my favorite modern Ringo albums. I definitely prefer it over something like Liverpool 8. I’m glad to see that Stop And Smell the Roses made it to the top five! That was actually he first solo Beatle album I ever owned...and I remember listening to that album so much when I was younger. Not a bad track on there for me, except for the remake of Back Off Boogaloo, which I could do without. I completely agree with you on the top two, Time Takes Time and Ringo...those two are easily his best albums, and they would both be very high for me on a list of the best of all the solo Beatles albums. They’re that good! Another great video here, Joe!

We do have some common ground but to place the two first solo records at the bottom of the lists did shock me. I do agree that What's My Name was much better than anyone expected and our love for Bad Boy and Stop and Smell is shared. Here are my 20: 20. Ringo the 4th (Yep, I am one of THOSE fans lol) 19. 2012 18. Liverpool 8 17. Postcards from Paradise 16. Y Not 15. Give More Love 14. Choose Love 13. Sentimental Journey 12. Beaucoups of Blues 11. I Wanna Be Santa Claus 10. Old Wave (I LOVE this record - your placement shocked me lol!) 9. Ringo Rama 8. Rotogravure 7. What's My Name 6. Vertical Man 5. Stop and Smell the Roses (any album with Wrack My Brain would make my top 5 lol - and You Got a Nice Way) 4. Goodnight Vienna 3. Bad Boy 2. Time Takes Time 1. RINGO Another great job - and well timed too! Enjoy the KZitem show tonight!

I do want to alter my list: I would now swap 7 and 10 - I am liking the new album less and less and liking Old Wave more, so Old Wave is now 7 and What's My Name is 10.

Big respect to you for not only owning all of Ringo's albums, but knowing them too. More or less agreed with your ranking but I place Beaucoups of Blues much higher maybe top 5, great album sleeve too, but all rankings will turn out different of course. Number one has to be 'Ringo', most of us will agree on that, a fantastic album up there with the best solo records. Happy Birthday Ringo !

Watched this video after the Ringo Birthday Show. Needed something a bit more substantial than "peace and love" 1,000 times. Stop and Smell The Roses was the first Ringo album I got and it's good to see that one getting a bit of love. Ringo goes in and out of fashion and some things he did that were really good got panned because it wasn't the Beatles or wasn't whatever was in the charts at the time. He's the most consistent Beatle re solo albums for me..and he has that positive Ringo vibe on all his albums. I guess venture into novelty value but that's part of his charm. Good to see some of my fave albums getting a thumbs up. Thumbs up for the video.

Thanks for posting this list. Hard to argue with the top choices. I probably would have put Vertical Man higher myself but this is your list 👍 I was a little surprised that Ringo the 4th was ranked as high as it was but I suppose there is something to be said for 70s Ringo music. I do agree with your assessment of Ringo Rotogravure as I think this is underrated. Take care!

In the age of endless issuing of deluxe boxes "Ringo" definitely deserves a deluxe treatment...I would add "Goodnight Vienna" hopefully too...There is a quadraphonic mix of that album so material can be found to make decent boxes of these two albums...

I think Ringo might have been the 1st Rock artist to cover American Standards (pre- Rock). Before Linda Ronstadt, Rod Stewart and Harry Nielson (though these are all very good !). This is one of my favorits. I had when it 1st came out. Call it nostalgia ! I would rate it higher, but that's just me !

I watched the 80th birthday show by Ringo which was so good. I was somewhat disappointed in the political spin that Ron Howard and Ringo seemed to 'set up'. This show seemed to commemorate more of John Lennon than Ringo with the political scene right now in the news. He even had All You Need Is Love and Give Peace a Chance and Come Together as some of Ringo's classics ( which we know celebrate John). But all in all, I enjoyed it. The best part to me was seeing the kids saying Happy Birthday to their grandpa and great grand pa. I wish more of that than the videos of the blm rhetoric. I have nothing against it, but to me I wanted to watch Ringo and Photograph and him showing his albums and tours what it meant to him would have been better than the blm thing. To me it should read all lives matter. But anyway, I like you showing the Ringo albums. I love them all. I even love Old Wave to be honest. That one is one of my favourite Ringo albums along with Vertigo Man and I love Y Not, one of Ringo's top albums since Rotogravure or Bad Boy or Goodnight Vienna. Postcard from Paradise to me is the disappointing album, there is okay song but no knockout punch for a winner. That is the least played album for me. Choose Love is a better album. For me, the RINGO album by Perry is #1 Bad Boy #2 Old Wave #3 Rotogravure #4, Y Not #5 Goodnight Vienna #6 Vertigo Man #7 Liverpool 8 #8, What's My Name #9 Ringo 2012 #10 Stop and Smell the Roses #11 Ringo the 4th #12 Ringo Rama #13 Choose Love #14 Give More Love #15 Boucoups of BLues #16 Time Takes Time #17 Sentimental Journey #18 Postcards from Paradise #19 Santa Ringo #20 I loved your pics and we both love Ringo !!! Definitely my first favourite Beatle when first were famous. His performance on the Ed Sullivan show, he performed the best and for many fans still the sentimental favourite Beatle. Great tributes on Facebook for a man who came from Liverpool and rose to #1.
