From a Renaissance Residence to the home of Hildon Natural Mineral Water. Steeped in history, the Hildon Estate as we know it today has been witness to many a story over its lifetime. Stemming back to the early 17th century, it is a feat of architectural wonder and fascination.
When Hildon founder Christian Heppe purchased the Hildon Estate, he soon discovered the immense purity of the water. Sourced from an underground aquifer deep below the Estate, he launched Hildon Natural Mineral Water, bringing its perfect and consistent composition to the world.
As a grade two listed property, it comes as no surprise that the home of Hildon Natural Mineral Water holds a rich and compelling history. With evidence of the site dating back to around 1802, the land was first graced by Rose Hill House, a gothic style villa described in its sale particulars as 'a modern and elegant mansion'.
Following a name change to Hildon House, the property was demolished and replaced by a larger, renaissance style residence. Behind the building's sophisticated design was Sir Aston Webb, the architect responsible for the front façade of Buckingham Palace.
