Google each of the items mentioned in the description and you will have a fair idea of how it works. Each of the floppy drive units must be angled 90º to each of the other two, to get movements along the 3 axes. Their electric motors are controlled by SN754410, a quadruple controller/actuator for electric motors or solenoids. It is driven by a circuit containing a CMOS 8-bit microcontroller integrated circuit (ATtiny2313), which, apart from flash, SRAM and EEPROM memories, has both USB and UART serial interfaces integrated. The microcontroller program is downloaded into the flash memory through a USB connector and cable from the computer, from a development program; then it is ready to receive control signals for 3 axes via either the USB or a classical connector, in real time, from a computer running a Mach3 CNC software able to simultaneously control 6 axes.

Now all you have to do is create a tool changer with a lift and place function for the tool; for a micro drill and direct chip attach paste. If you could first drill holes in Teflon board, then draw conductive ink, then deposit solder paste this robot could make micro electronics. The only problem after that is a way to deposit components and chips to the paste. A Pick and Place robot seems to be your next project. This thing appears to be a candidate for a Maker project to rigidize the the servos and table. Good luck!

Sexy, you should have a spring loaded pen holder so you can make the superstructure more ridge, it will give you a more smooth and controllable output.
