The briggs motor in that tractor is a flathead, so valve adjustment is a pain because you have to grind the end of the valve stem to adjust your lash. They still make carb kits and the carb is easy enough to rebuild. Cool little motors. Glad to see you using that ECHO shirt I sent you! -Dave

I have a 010AV and was also surprised to find out they had metal reed valves. Check out the magnesium cases and alloy muffler. That’s a cool little 40 year old saw.

I have one of those 011 saws. Minty low hour unit. It's also a finicky tuner. Just how it is. It prefers to be a tad rich on the high side. Other brand reed saws I've owned acted similar.

Couple sweet finds! I was into the mud mowers and racing mowers in my late teens and early 20's, so much fun! Still have one of my old mudders, haven't had it out in a few years. Also own one of those GT2's, looks just like yours but with the opposed twin kohler flathead. Been a solid garden tractor👍🏻

I used to have a bunch of that series. They had a cult following. Sold them all because they have a oil pump flaw that is obsolete and I wanted my money back before they became boat anchors!! 😂 they were decent little saws tho for your atv or whatever.

Filters were known to plug up. Sponge around the filter would eventually fall apart. Clean/replace the filter and blow out/replace pump tubing. Good to go!

Nice finds! Saw sounds a little funny. Like a bearing is squealing or something! That tractor is choice though!

Horizontal surfaces just collect junk in Our garages and shops! You know this! Shop looks alot better, but screw the small stihls, get some small echos already and show us all what they can do! 3510, 361p, 2511p, and hell why not a 7310p too for good measure… be the first to really do a nice 3510 broo
