One or two more losses coming for Texas, as I predicted. Texas is a solid 4 loss team this year. I'd love to see Texas recruit a legit dual-threat QB. It’s so strange how it seems like they always play a great 1st half and then fall flat in a 2nd half. Almost like each game sark and company huddle up at halftime to figure out how they’re gonna mess it all up this time. A clear composure and toughness issue is there in the closing periods. Ewers also looked really suspicious out there. I get that it was windy but there’s no way he plays that much worse than spencer sanders (also throwing in windy weather ofc). And the only throws he managed to make were quick swing passes in screen outlets that ironically were shredding Oklahoma states defense covering up his issues in the 1st half. Then all the sudden Sark seems to force long ball after long ball in the second half when clearly Ewers was not gonna make them. If I’m sark I notice that my guy is having an off day and stick with what works until it’s proven to be stopped.

After reading the comments let me just say this....Texas IS on the come up, and they are looking to be more dominant then ever before, and our history already triggers people to the core since people who don't even know where UT is LOVES to hate on Texas. Every team has its sucky period, OKST, Alabama, had and will again. These things don't last forever, but I can see Texas being the next Alabama for the next 2 decades solely because our mistakes are self inflicted, not because the other team is necessarily better. All Texas needs is discipline and we'll be more than SEC ready. I certainly don't see Texas suffering as bad as OU will suffer tho...Biggest self-destruction of a program i've ever seen. Be honest with yourself, as of rn and in the future, who looks to be a tougher contender for the SEC? I think we got Bama's vote. All and all as a die hard fan, I'm really excited for our Horns, future looks only better and better.

Ewers also barerly played in his collegiate career, he needs all the experience, the winning part, and the losing part, then we'll find out what kind of player/person Ewers is. No matter how hyped Arch is for college ball, he not gonna win every game in college.

@@21kindness45 I can agree with a few things you’ve said… Ewers will be a great qb if they give him time… Sanders was not good when he first came to Okstate but now he’s not bad. Coaching however is bad, Texas made some bad decisions which ultimately falls on the coach. Mike Grundy did an exceptional job considering sanders has a mild shoulder injury and we had 6 injuries coming into this game. Penalties for sure were a problem for Texas… Oklahoma state had 2 penalties, 1 was declined the other was offset. Texas had 14 penalties, 10 of them being prior to the snap of the ball. I don’t think Texas will be a very dominant team in the future personally…. I do think that Okstate is on the rise though.. it seems like it was only a few seasons ago that Okstate was almost an unheard of team that never did anything spectacular but these past two seasons Okstate has only been getting better and I think a lot of that is simply because of mike gundy
