That is crazy. I haven’t seen it since 2004 and I just watched it 3 days ago.

The best actor in the whole show was Lafawnduh’s brother. The look of total disbelief on his face was priceless!😆

I don’t get why Utah is so obsessed with Napoleon Dynamite when its primarily an Idaho movie with only a few scenes shot in utah. If anything utah should be obsessed with a highschool musical movie

Would rather watch footloose which was shot in lehi. I was in 11th grade when napoleon dynamite came out and I remember my friends and I came out the theater wondering what we just watched. After the second time it was truly one of the funniest movies we ever saw.

if you were a middle class to poor kid in utah in the 80s and 90s youd understand :) its extremely relatable to those of us who grew up wearing moonboots because thats all the DI had.

It's because it's so heavily influenced by Mormon culture and the filmmakers and lead actor went to BYU. Also, Eastern Idaho is very very similar to Utah. Preston, Idaho is only a few miles north of the Utah border and is only about a 30 minute drive from Logan. Part of it is also because it premiered at Sundance, which is based in Utah.

You can tell the owner of the Dynamite house doesn’t like the film. He was just being nice 😂

I love that movie so much. The characters are so real and exaggerated at the same time.

And yes the movie is relatable. Mexicans and white teenager coming of age aesthetic.
