🎹 How to buy my 200 sounds + review & thoughts = sounds-for-synths.com/korg-prologue/ 🎹 Part 2 of this demo (Urban Decay + Textures of Space) = kzitem.info/news/bejne/zIVjz4Ruant7iHY 🎹 I did not use any external FX in the demo; all the delays, phasers, noises and other effects are part of the Prologue engine & my intentional patch design. I recorded my demo straight through an audio card. This is a standard factory Prologue unit - you don’t need any custom oscillators, FX or other addons (just the factory „Waves” oscillator). 🎹 Also in my collection of custom soundsets: PRO-3 / Hydrasynth / REV-2 / Opsix / OB-6 / Minilogue XD / Prophet-6 / Sub-37 / Super-6 / and more! Just coming from the Cobalt 8 video this is in a different class altogether. Absolutely magnificent synth that is very under appreciated in the market.

@@javiceres erm it has the same exacting engine and is 8 voice instead of 4, the things that differ is that it offers a compressor as final output but does not offer the sequencer, sound wise they're 100% the same.
My favorite Analog engine! Good to hear a fresh batch of sonic goodness from one of my fav designers 😁

I think I need to internalize that "less is more" mindset next time I sit down at my Prologue to sound design. I keep trying to maximize the modulation and how much STUFF is going on with a patch, but that's probably unnecessary and a big reason why my patches end up sounding samey. Great work on these sounds! A masterful exhibition of this wonderful machine

Thanks! I made this video on the standard Prologue version with factory oscillators on board, I can't imagine the possibilities with some custom osc / fx addons 🤯

I was kind of heartbroken when I read that you were content with the XD and would not even try the Prologue, because it has been my dream synth since its release, and I knew you'd love its sound since you have a soft spot for all the gritty and "living" synths, such as the ESQ-1, Polysix, Akais or Roland SH-series. I'm happy you came around to try it and love it, right now I'm listening to the audio-only patches you uploaded to your soundcloud, and they are even better, if that is even possible. Anyways, enjoy your vacation!!! :)

It's a lovely synth but i think i'm sold on getting a second Minilogue and polychaining them. 8 voices seems enough.
@Ribbonium
2 жыл бұрын
I have two Minilogue XD's (one keyboard, one module) and it's a great way to go. Yes, the polychain option is great and gives you 8 voices. But my preference is to layer them and while it's still four voices that way, it becomes a bi-timbral synth and the sound possibilities go far beyond what can be done with a single XD, or two in polychain mode -- truly massive.

I'm not ruling it out, but I'd have to rearrange my process somehow to shoot a video for a synth that does not have patch memory. I would either have to record it across the span of several weeks, which is problematic, or take the "dawless jam" approach and just do random stuff;) 😅

Hey, do you know if you can assign separate midi channels to each timbre when you’re in split mode? So you can sequence one half and play the other half.

In split mode just send notes within the range of the given split
