In a world that, at times, seems overflowing with hatred and violence, it is refreshing to watch an incredibly talented, self-effacing, young woman bringing a very old clock back to life. To me, the clock represents so much that is inexorably being lost in our brave new world: the pride in craftsmanship, the attention to detail, the understanding and respect for materials, and the love that goes into the construction of an article meant to last many lifetimes. Such a huge difference from our throwaway society, where so little is designed to last, or designed to be repaired. Congratulations Trena on a fabulous result, & four extremely well constructed episodes (loved the music). Seeing you at work, with occasional guest appearances by Shop Dog, plus the inclusion of your Dad & Mum is a real highlight. Thank you for your efforts in allowing us into your world. It is greatly appreciated.
