CLASSIC! CLASSIC! CLASSIC! UT Lady Vols my favorite all time women's team! I love the intensity of this game and how hard both teams play on every possession! Two premier & ahead of their time coaches! You gotta luv it!!!

+Yari Yaris Classic piece of shit. Lobo was the worst player ever drafted in basketball history next to SHAWN BRADLEY.

Pat actually sold to her team that they were more talented than a Uconn team that had 3 future Hall of Famers! Way to go Pat Summit.

This is premiere basketball right here. There's at least 10 hall of famers on the floor

I can remember my heart breaking towards the end of the game and my sister and I hugging one another as the Tennessee fans made fun of us because we were crying our night was ruined that night 💔💔💔

Kelly Schumacher was one of our best defensive players. She was blocking shots she had no business blocking.

I was shocked as anyone at their Sweet 16 exit that year. As a UConn fan, I'll never forget her quote when they were knocked out that year, "I am more disappointed in this team than I am for this team."

Xavier beat the Lady Vols in Birmingham. Whether the Lady Vols would have won it all in St. Louis, we'll never know. But the Musketeers should not have been on the same court with a team which had Catchings, Randall and Lawson.

Catchings was already out with an ACL injury (she injured it the same night Notre Dame beat UConn for the first time in its history). Also, during this game, UConn's Svetlana Abrosimova sustained a torn foot ligament which ended her collegiate career (Svet's injury is at 1:19:47).

Great basketball. Great rivalry. It's too bad UCONN a is so dominant now. We'll never see edge-of-your seat, nail biting games again smh.

Part of the comment didn't age well. UConn is still very dominant. They have made 12 straight Final Fours (2008-2019) winning 6 National Championships while most teams never even make it at all. Since coaches come and go, it runs in cycles. Tennessee was THE program for about 24 years and now UConn is THE program, but people love an underdog. People loved watching UConn upset UTenn. Now, people want to see UConn upset. Kids go to other programs for the chance to be that underdog.

Tennessee should bring back the state outline at center court. Looks a lot better than that giant "TENNESSEE".

Pat Summitt was a great coach, she got amazing players year after year. As a UConn fan, I used to dread watching the Huskies play her team, but I mean that as a compliment. Of course, Geno’s not so bad a coach either. Even a casual observer could see this was no ordinary game between these two powerhouses of the sport. This one went to UT. Thankfully, not all of them did.
