Holy shit. As I watched this video I welled up with tears of sadness. I need to replace my blower motor and ac evaporator coil. It breaks my heart to see the nightmare of a task this is going to be. 😳🥺🤢🤬

Viking - The Blower Motor is not too bad, it comes out from under the Glove box, accessed by pulling a panel on the passenger's side floor mat area. Good Luck! kzitem.info/news/bejne/u5-CsoeHiJiCh2U

Hey, great video! One of a kind! I had a heater core replaced in my wife’s 05 LeSabre at a backyard shop. They were the lowest price by far so I thought why not. Once we got it back, the airflow from my low and mid vents are weak And the air won’t get hot. Warm but not hot. That was a couple years ago. She’s been suffering every winter since. Since then, we’ve flushed the fluid three times, replaced the thermostat, checked the actuator, and replaced the water pump. Still the same. Do you think it’s a possibility that they didn’t put the plenum/duct work back together correctly and it’s pulling in cold air somewhere? I can only see so much without taking everything apart.

Yep, that’s entirely possible.

Evaporator or heater core. I'm doing both whether they need it or not, and anything else I can find that requires removing the dash. No way I'm doing that twice, lol.

Fantastic video! I’ve seen a few forum threads and talked to a few techs from gm dealers I worked at before and they said the heater core can he removed without pulling the dash, can you attest to that?

I don’t know why you would even want to attempt it. It’s actually fairly easy to get the dash out of this car and work on it.

@@76629online as a flat rate tech, I’ll do anything that saves time lol i’m staring at the 03 I have in my shop at home right now and actually as soon as I commented that I went in and started pulling the close out panels on each side and then the floor duct, i’m about 30 minutes from having the heater core out. I’ll have to make a vid as well, but again your vid is GREAT. Coming from an ASE, GM, Chrysler master tech.

Update. I can confirm that the heater core is EASILY accessible without pulling any of the dash at all.. 4 plastic panels, the one on each side with the floor lights, and 2 under the dash right in the middle. Need a 5.5mm and a 7mm and the heater core is staring you in the face. I’m glad I found your video it led me to finding my shortcut lol

@@lilbroughdizzle The reason that I did it the way that I did is because I had to remove the entire HVAC Plenum from this car because it was completely contaminated with material from trees.
