I was surprise how slow the tangential motors spun the Girandola. But, it still was stable and went straight up. good job

Because they were all end burners with two whistles on the sides. Whistle end burners have barely any thrust, at least with my experience. I've tried about 20 times, and only had one end burner rocket go up, up and away...and boy did it. I have tried but just can't replicate the one.

In Thailand, they make huge versions of these, at least 15 feet in diameter. They sound like steam locomotives when in flight.

If you look further down in my vids, you'll see a vid of those hoop-stabilized tourbillions. Great Machines. One motor in steel pipe, with vents in it. We enjoyed seeing them in person. They are not girandolas, though

Simply put, Jim, if you get them spinning nicely before applying vertical thrust, gyroscopic stability, as with a bicycle wheel, takes over, and stabilizes the flight.

Wow at 1st I was like wait a sec that's not a Ned firework. Nothing was happening. I didn't realize it wasn't really going yet. Then Zoom it went super high, loved the whistling then the smoke streams at the end was cool. Was that something you'd planned for?

Sort of, but Talai in Thailand are a single tube motor with multiple angled vents. Sort of a hoop-stabilized large tourbillion.
