That's not salt water and sun. That's a freshwater motor hahaha. That's just pure owner neglect. Outboard abuse plain and simple. Hey thanks for watching and commenting I really appreciate it. Stay tuned!

Gotta love your ingenuity....Hope you will replaced that impeller anyway. Once you have the midsection off the stern brackets, was hoping you would attack that broken mount stud with the torch, you may have been able to grab it with vice grips...Yes, the protruding stud will hold the mount from slopping around. But, when the engine jumps around it will put much more of a strain on the remaining bolt, probably causing that one to snap off also....

I've got he same model and year,but with low hours on it,I can't imagine how somebody let that motor get in that state. You advised me on the fuel pipe,and the fuel running back into the tank.I changed the primer bulb and pipe,and it works ok.I was worried about the fuel filter sight glass only staying 1/4 full,but apparently,these type fuel filter/sight glass never fill up completely.I have been advised to ignore it and use the boat,what do you reckon? The motor starts first pull,and ticks over like a sewing machine,and responds very quickly to the throttle.I can keep my finger on the head without it being too hot. Great vids,keep 'em coming.

Hey Thanks. It sounds like its running good. If it aint broke dont fix it ! You could rebuild the pump just as general maintenance, a new diaphragm is cheap and it never hurts. It's like putting in a new set of plugs, just generally maintenance stuff. Thanks again for watching and commenting. Stay tuned !
@stanwilson8089

Thanks for the reply,I have fitted a new pump at the same time as the inline filter/sight glass. I'm getting on a bit(74yrs) so preventitive maintainence might save me ending up in the drink. I look forward to your vids,your attitude knocks me out. Have a nice day.

Really Weird ! I wasn't able to reply. Every time I clicked on it there was nothing there. Very Strange ! Anyway thanks for watching and commenting for Both Times! Sorry the last one didn't make it to the page. It pisses me off. I guess it's some kind of a "Glitch" . thx again Stay tuned !

Hey. If everything is working properly and running at proper temperature, I would imagine you could run it til you run out of gas. Not that I would recommend that. Be nice to your outboard and it will run for years ! thanks Stay tuned !
