You the best! I plugged out the 20A and reinstalled it with the engine off. Turned it back on it switched for me. Also note, I had 15A yellow in the 20A for some reason. I switched it anyway and it came on. I will be buying a new electrical pierce set for my truck circuit. Thanks again

Hey Guys, so I live in Calgary Alberta......With this said, our winters get frigidly cold -20C common......my 4wd service comes on/fuse blows/lights on selector switch goes out. Nothing works...found a write up - not sure if its from GM directly. But it states, if your 20amp ATC fuse keeps blowing, but Encoder @ T-case works......front diff actuator works. You're getting get grounds.....good voltage at connectors....( Bench test front actuator ) and it works.......and there is no code for TCCM ( Transfer Case Control Module ) ....it is the 1640 connection - they used 18 gauge wire from factory but during colder than normal ambient temps - it will spike in amps and blow the fuse....The easy fix is replace with 25amp fuse. OR replace the Orange wire - with 16Awg. DONT GO SPLURGE ON PARTS BEFORE YOU DO ALL YOUR CHECKS!!!!

I was having the same problem. Service 4wd came on. Ordered a cheap selector from Amazon and I switched it out. It fixed the problem. 🤙🏾

Nice and I plan on getting a new selector as those go out more often and their cheap to replace 😂

I had the same issue with my 2001 1500 Silverado. Unplugged the 4x4 actuator plugged back in and it fixed the problem. Lasted another year until I sold

Sometimes it’s as simple as a reset and it’s fixed. I hope this fixed mine but if not theirs some cheap parts I can replace before replacing the shift motors.

Here’s a weird situation. My switch has been acting up for years. It would switch from auto to 4 long when the truck was shut off The indicator lights wouldn’t always work But 4x4 always did. So I just left it. I knew I’d have to change it eventually Yesterday I was in 2wd and it wouldn’t go into 4x4 at all. I checked the fuses and grounds everything was good. I knew it was the bad switch. I went and picked up a replacement and installed it. Same problem. The lights would light up when you start the truck. But went out and wouldn’t let you select 4x4 I was puzzled because it worked fine the day before. The only thing I did differently was disconnect the battery while I installed a led lightbar I didn’t think it could be related. But I tried it anyways. I disconnected the negative terminal and cleaned it. After about 5 minutes I reinstalled it and BOOM The switch works as it should I just thought I’d share my experience I’m not saying that’s what did it for sure. But it’s working fine now. 🤞

Hello front diff only locks with 4WD AUTO only but with 4 low will not work the gearcase electric actuator makes a loud noise then works but then when I roll forward only rears work there is no grinding or anything at all

Maybe it’s time to rebuild your t case if this were me I’d manually shift the t case in 4 hi with the actuator off the case but still plugged in the harness than hit the 4hi button and see what happens than same with 4 low
